Pale straw body with a frothy white head that settles to a thin but tenacious foamy film that laces the sides of the glass generously. Aroma is malt, grains, and grassy hops with an earthy note and a sharpness about it. Sweet malt with a syrupy undertone dominates in the flavor with a sweet nutty aftertaste that lingers a bit in the finish. This is good beer. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

Light malt flavour works well with the hops bitterness, creating a well balanced offering. Light bodied, easy drinking, a very nice treat, and finally a new country! mikeben (344), Naperville, Illinois, USA

Slightly bland and watery there is a bready malty taste and I think I tasted some pear like notes. A little hoppy but not too much it is drinkable. I think I would like it if only the flavor was a little stonger as it is very distinct. johndoughty (2170), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

A reasonable attempt at a very pleasant style. DuffMan (2786), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada

Vaguely fruity, grainy aroma. Lightly fruity palate, malty and smooth with a crisply bitter finish that is mild. Very nice. LordBeamish (144), Boozetown, Ontario, Canada

I call this one a phantom beer because it’s so good it just magically disappears. I don’t even think my lips touched the glass before this lovely beer crossed the void and sailed down my throat. Pours a light gold colour with a thick white head. Some lacing is evident. The aroma is crazy. Sort of bready with honey almost the odour of Honeynut Cheerios without the milk. I actually caught myself sniffing the glass when I was done. The taste is crisp with malty sweetness. Finishes sweet as well with just a hint of hoppy bitterness. A well balanced and well crafted beer. Like the King, I am confounded by the low ratiings. This is among the best beers I’ve ever had.
I have re-rated this beer because the last few times I have had it, it has not lived up to its original billing. Sometimes stale and cloudy out of the bottle. Cavie (1521), Fort Worth, Texas, USA

Smell is quite fresh, several notes of sweet bread and flowers in it. Taste has notes of bitter but softens up quickly. Strong flavors make this better than expected. Not quite sure why other raters disliked this.
