500ml bottle. Deep caramel color. Medium size, off-white, thick head. Doesn’t last for very long, but never disappears. Sweet, hops, grainy, caramel in aroma. Alcohol, malty, caramel, very faint hops in flavor. Drinkable, but dull.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Caramel foam-quickly diminishing foam. Amber/burnt caramel colour. Aromas of very sickly sweet toffee apples, but also the alcoholic smell similar to Apple sourz. Tastes of watery toffee apple and wether’s originals, but also bitter alcohol. Medium body and bitter finish. Would not be able to finish a whole bottle.

Deep amber/red color with extremely quickly deminishing caramel color foam. Aromas of, apples, juice, fruits, malts, aluminum, acidic and sweet. Palate, Light, no body, mega sweet finish that lasts for a while. Taste of toffee, sugar, sweets and soft drinks. Overall not to sure what to say... Sombody pored lemonade into a bottle and called it Scotish ale? Nice try to fool us Svyturis! have to try harder next time!

Rating #1149 - July 5, 2014 - Bottle from 7 Degrees (Chris). My Lithuanian tick. Dark brown/black pour (colour of an irish stout) with a bubbly tan foam with medium retention. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee. Taste is quite sweet at first, malt and toffee, but quite lightbodied. Rather bitter and bland through the finish. Meh.

500 ml bottle bought at The magstote in Nathan Road, Jordan.

Clear ambe red colour; One-quarter finger head with soapy off white foam which fades in 40 seconds; Very good sticky lacing with active carbonation; Fairly fragrant aroma of Ale malt, with strong caramel, toffee, red fruits, faint wet paper, sugar, bread, yeast and faint grass; Medium to light sweet taste of light Amber malt, with very light wet cardboard, light caramel, light toffee, faint cherries, light molasses, light bread, lemon, very light bitter hops and grass; Close to light body. Thin and slight slick palate; Mouth feel is light red malt in a pretty watery background. Caramel and toffee tastes are lightweight, not very wholesome. Red fruits and sweetness are also light. Fair lemon and thin bitter hops to round. Easy but so so… Hoppiness is faint grass in nose. Notable lemon and light grass in taste. Bitterness is light for an abrupt, low astringent sweet malty finish; Slightly dry after taste. Toffee-like and easy to mouth.

Comments: This is a very average Scottish Ale with lightweight red malt aroma, body and taste. Barely passable for the style yet very drinkable as an average Amber Ale. Once is enough.

Bottle 50cl. Clear deep amber copper color, small frothy beige head, mostly diminishing, good lacing; aroma sweet malty, caramel, dark fruit notes, bit spicy; taste light sweet and bitter, caramel, mild sugary maltss; light to medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, mild sweetbitter aftertaste, bready; lacks smokiness to be a Scottish Ale, otherwise not a bad beer.
