A hazy amber ale with a thin lacing white head. A pleasant floral hops aroma, classic, a bit piney, with caramel notes. In mouth, a smooth IPA with light malts, smooth hopping, medium bodied. On tap at Cigar City, Jan. 5 2011.

Draft… Clear amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose provides toffee, light caramel, medium roast grains and not a whole lot of hops, although there is a unassuming floral note. Medium to full-bodied and mildly creamy with dancing carbonation. The flavor is clean and caramely with only moderate bitterness. Crisp, mildly caramely, lightly bitter finish. Flawless in execution, but this is more along the lines of a very good American pale ale or amber ale.

Sample at Redlight Redlight. The beer is a hazy amber-gold color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Notes of malt and citrusy hops in the nose. Medium-bodied with a moderately bitter hops character and flavors of citrus and bready malt. The finish is piney hops with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft @ FBGBF ’010. Pours deep gold with some haze and thin off white head. The modest aroma is peppered with pine and somewhat grassy hops with some citrus hops around the edges. The aroma is on the mild side but very inviting nonetheless. The taste is nice and forward and full of pine and citrus hops with a thin layer of malty sweetness there for support. The taste remains solid pine and resin and citrus along the edges well into the finish.

Tap at Farrah’s in Gainesville, FL. The pour is a hazed strawberry iced tea amber with a small, dense, rocky, yellow. Nice retention and sheety lace. Aroma is fresh melon, sort of funky citrus and potpourri reminiscent of some mild sour beers or even mild Brett beers. The taste is cinnamon, lemon, bitter grapefruit and orange peel. The body is ultra malt forward with so much body and richness it is nearly impossible to drink. Palate is a little chalky. Overall I just don’t know how you are even supposed to drink this. Abv is verging on DIPA and sugar content is probably out the roof. A pint of this is just way too much.

Swamp Head, wow these guys sure are the up coming success brewery in FL. This beer is another example of great craft beer. Draft. Pours dark brown/cloudy amber, thick frothy off-white head. Aroma light roasted malts, hints of grassy hops and citrus, berry/bready like sweetness. Flavor, found this one to have a nice roasted, caramel mouthfeel, bready, light citrus/grapefruit/tropical touch. Lingering sweetness Little dry hopped and roasted finish, Overall palate has a nice warming touch, and nothing gets overly bitter. Drinks smooth. Tasty!

6/25/10. On tap. Nice fresh hoppy aroma with sour citrus and some pee, but not bad. The flavor is sweet and sour citrus fruits, but a bit subdued, and it finishes a little creamy and then dry. Not bad, boys!

Draught at a Pizza Joint Near Orlando: Aroma of fruity hops, light caramel, and malt. Poured copper/orange in color with a tiny, white head that is just a film on top of the beer. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of caramel malt, hops, light fruit, and slight rye. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Medium sweet, lightly bitter caramel malt and hop finish. An average IPA. 7.3%ABV is completely hidden throughout.
