COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Catherine II, the 18th century Empress of Russia is said to have been the inspiration behind the creation of the Russian Imperial Stout, an intensely flavored, robust dark ale with a noticeable alcohol presence. Legend has it that Catherine also had a voracious sexual appetite; she was known to have many lovers, but the story about the stallion was probably a myth. We’ve infused this round of our Imperial Russian Stout with a stiff dose of coconut and habanero peppers, creating a smooth, spicy, stout ale that even Catherine herself may have resented.

Bottle at Taylors birthday! Dark black pour tan head nice collar. Light spice and cinnamon. Beer starts sweet light spice then finishes with some nice head. Warm spice and pepper lingers. I like thank the pepper heat lasts on a heavey stout. Good stuff.

Bottle @ RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting. Thanks, Sean. Black pour with just a small khaki head. Roasted malt and slight smoke on the nose. Air amount of cocoa, coffee, and earthy chili. Mild coconut and graham cracker, too. Some vanilla, coconut, and graham cracker sweetness to the flavor. Tons of bitter roasted malt, cocoa powder, and coffee, too. Spicy chili pepper note and certainly some smoke and earthiness. A bit of toffee in there as well.

Tasted at RBSG grand tasting. Bottle. Dark brown color, near black. Thin brown head. Dots of lace. Big pepper up front in the first sip (habanero ). Get some of the coconut in the finish. Dark chocolate. Good coffee. Moderate bitter, spicy pepper. Works well. Beerpig317 would love this. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, chewy lighter carbonation. Awesome hot pepper imperial stout! I really dug this one. Perfect marriage.
