3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A hazed blonde wit with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, a smooth sweet fruity malt with loads of bananas, cloves and light sulfur. In mouth, a smooth sweet spiced wit with cloves, ginger, light lemongrass, nice. On tap at Peg’s Cantina, Dec. 8 2012.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2012 Hoe Hoe Hoe is not the Winter beer one would expect and the seasonal flavors don?t exactly come through. It is a nice Florida twist on a Winter beer with orange and honey flavors from this white wheat. Not much aroma but a nice slight fizzy palate. Good drinking beer overall even if thee isn?t much of a "change of season." ;)

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft. Pour is hazy gold with a small white head which quickly fades. Aroma is vaguely medicinal/floral, with ginger, orange peel, honey, dough. Taste is straight up ginger; some fruity/honey notes, lightly sour. Palate is thin, light body, ginger heavy finish. Not a fan.

My experience with this one was very similar to Otakuden’s. Tart, slightly sweet, extremely detectable ginger and coriander notes. Kind of mucky and blech. Unfortunate, but I think it sounds like a pretty good beer and I want to try it again in the winter.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Appearance: clear, rather light looking with pale hues of yellow and gold. Swirls with nothing.
Nose: generic spices – nothing I can pin my nose on. Perfumy herbal quality; potpourri. Powdered cumin and raw ginger root. Something is making my eyes water. Waxy lemon peel on the turning point. Soured fermentation.
Palate: thin with lots of cumin followed by lots of ginger root. Lingering spice and heat in the back along with funked turned lemon pithy peel. Old soggy watery bread and watery lemon. Cat pee.
Final Thoughts: not good. Nasty comes to mind so maybe instead of Hoe Hoe Hoe it should be called Blech Blech Blech.

Tap at Redlight. Light gold pour. Funky, pungent citrus hop aroma. Crispy malt, citrus peel, vanilla and touches of honey. Just ok.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
10oz pour at Fermentation Lounge, light frothy head, aroma is some light spicy cinnamon. Taste is light, Belgian spice, doughy, it tastes like a saison to me. A bit of sweetness comes out at the end, bit overall a bit plain. It’s not bad, but nothing to write home about.

Bottle... Vero Beach “GET YOUR RUDOLPH ON” Throwdown… Hazy straw-colored ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The bouquet offers vanilla and spicy, herbal phenols. Medium-bodied and lightly milky with nonchalant carbonation. The flavor is mostly sweet, fruity and spicy, but also provides vanilla and pale grains. Sweet, sticky finish. Bleh.

Thanks to blazer06 for this one. Pours opaque yellow with a white head. Nose is spruce, wood, spice, medicine, sweetness, and anise. Flavor is similar with lots of spruce, wood, spice, and anise. Lingers with a woody/ spicy finish. Medium-bodied and interesting.
