3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from BMMillsy. A slightly hazy yellow-gold pour with a short-lived white head. The aroma is dusty, with lemon drops, wildflowers, and soft herbal notes. Very drinkable. Straw, herbal, white grape flavors, with Brett and a little lemon. Slightly tart and funky but the Brett certainly isn’t extreme. Soft carbonation. Nice dry finish. I liked the original but thought it was a tad sweet. The Brett seems to cover that up here. Good beer.

750 ml bottle
Thanks to tastybeer for sharing a bottle with b3shine and myself at a tasting. This is an example of brett not completely taking over a beer but also changing it. That said I doubt I will be hurrying to get any more Swamp Head rates that are not immediately accessible.
Aroma / Appearance - A golden yellow base is a trace overly carbonated with only a minimal head. Dry yeast, lemons, and malt are starchy. Tropical and swampy it lives up to the branding with its Southern heritage.
Flavor / Palate - Lemons, white pepper, and the texture of a sparkling cider tickle the palate. Crisp and sweet it retains an earthy feel all the way through to a dry finish. Malty aspects become more pronounced with time. All told it is respectable but not a great saison even with the brett.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, thanks Aaron! Hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of big lemon notes, hints of grass, biscuit, nice earth, touch of grain. Taste is a mix of big lemon, biscuit, hints of grass, slight brett and funky notes, slight oak, touch of grain, finishing with some white fruit, finishing fairly bitter, dry. Nice.
