A thirst-quenching American Pale Ale with a pleasurable hop aroma and taste. A chip off the same block as our Big Nose cypress knee wood spirit, Stump Knocker is a bit smaller, but heís got the same hop headed attitude! Stump Knocker features late flavor and aroma hops, augmented with dry hopping and our unique hop filtering process as we transfer the fermented ale to conditioning tanks for carbonation and aging. These techniques produce a hop-centered ale with a crisp, balanced finish that will recharge your palate! Ingredients: American barley malts Centennial and Amarillo hops Production Targets: Original Gravity: 13 Brix IBUs: 35 Alcohol By Volume: 5.6%

Pours a clear copper color with off-white head. Small amounts of grass and pine, with a hint of malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a little hops resin and just a hint of malt. Very refreshing.

Rated from notes taken 6 Sep 2013 -- Sampled at the Emerald Coast Beerfest 2013. This beer was a good, but unremarkable pale ale. Would drink, but would prefer something better.

Clear, citrine. White, stiff head. Pleasant, malty, candied aroma with moderate hops and volatiles. Pretty bitter, starchy malt mouthfeel. The bittering is awkward and generally gives the brew a ragged edge. Medium body, finishes out with better balance than when you are quaffing. Fair. On tap, Brass Tap, Tallahassee.
