A thirst-quenching American Pale Ale with a pleasurable hop aroma and taste. A chip off the same block as our Big Nose cypress knee wood spirit, Stump Knocker is a bit smaller, but he’s got the same hop headed attitude! These techniques produce a hop-centered ale with a crisp, balanced finish that will recharge your palate! Aroma is an interesting mix of earthy and hoppy. Unfortunately the mixture doesn't work as well on the tongue. The palate sustains a bitter hop finish that isn't enjoyable either. If it wasn't for a great appearance with a white lacing head an orange color and great aroma mixture, the palate and taste would sink the beer.

Pours a nice golden amber on tap with a solid khaki head and great lacing. Aroma of grainy malts, piney hops, and slight citrus. Taste follows suit, with the hops coming through the most. Pretty good APA.

hopscotch (9163) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 13, 2012
Draft… Hazy, dark amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma is mostly constructed of apricot and grapefruit although there is an additional, more subtle note of Pacific pine. Medium to full-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor provides some very nice rindy bitterness pinned to an understated backbone of caramel malt. Lengthy, crisp, bitter finish. Much better than expected.

Draf. Cloudy orange color, small but thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of orange peel and lemon bread. Taste is rising raw bread dough and bitter orange. Not bad.

Hazy amber with a thick head. The aroma is massive and weedy. Mmmmmm hop cone. Medium bitterness, kind of creamy and with a good hop character.

Better than most pale apes with slight bitterness and good amount of hop notes. Nice finish with a bit of spicyness.

Beershine (5218) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2012
Draft at redlight. Luminescent red-orange. The hop aroma is cannabis, bright green. But it smells a little chewy. The body is really nice tho. Surprisingly. Finishes lingering and long resin. Not as chewy as I thought it was gonna be. Hop essence and oranges. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
