COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Light and refreshing, yet busting with flavor. We add Florida Tupelo honey to a traditional cream ale, and just a touch of hops, to update this American classic. This is what a light beer should bee! Tupelo honey is produced from the tupelo gum tree which grows profusely along the Chipola and Apalachicola rivers of northwest Florida. Here in the river swamps, bees are placed on elevated platforms along the river’s edge or on floating barges; the bees fan out through the surrounding Tupelo-blossom-laden swamps during April and May and return with their precious treasure. This river valley is the only place in the world where Tupelo Honey is produced commercially. Tupelo Honey is considered to be the finest quality honey in the world and is the only variety certified for varietal purity. It costs a bit more, but we think you will find that it produces a crisp light beer that rivals the finest lagers in the world. Ingredients: American barley malts and corn Florida Tupelo Honey New Zealand organic Hallertau hops Production Targets: Original Gravity: 14 Brix IBUs: 17.9 Alcohol By Volume: 5.9%

Marshmallowy, sweet, decent palate. I’d totally love this as a session ale. Sweet.

My Bottom Line:
This slender and bubbly Cream Ale possesses floral honey allusions and leveled herbal hop bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the clear very pale blond.
-The mouthfeel is very lean, even sharing flavors, leanness and color with many Japanese rice brews.
-Drinkability is very high.
-The aroma becomes quite pleasant upon warming up. But when served ‘cool’, there is not much to get from it.

On tap at Coffee District.

Beer pours a clear golden yellow color with thin white lacing. The aroma is slightly musky with some lactic notes. The palate is light yet creamy, also slightly musky. Overall very nice lighter style beer that would go down beautifully on a hot summer day. Not a cream ale drinker typically but I really dig this particular ale.

Aroma has a hint of honey and a little citrus hint. Appearance is a light pale yellow with a small white head. Taste has a little hop with a nice bitter edge and some honey bitterness but not sweetness. Palate is watery.

Golden light body. Honey, bagels and indeed somewhat creamy. But too moderate. Light sparkle. Somewhat bitter, active body and no leftover sugar. Disappointing. (On tap at the brewery)
