Light and refreshing, yet busting with flavor. We add Florida Tupelo honey to a traditional cream ale, and just a touch of hops, to update this American classic. This is what a light beer should bee! Tupelo honey is produced from the tupelo gum tree which grows profusely along the Chipola and Apalachicola rivers of northwest Florida. Here in the river swamps, bees are placed on elevated platforms along the river’s edge or on floating barges; the bees fan out through the surrounding Tupelo-blossom-laden swamps during April and May and return with their precious treasure. This river valley is the only place in the world where Tupelo Honey is produced commercially. Tupelo Honey is considered to be the finest quality honey in the world and is the only variety certified for varietal purity. It costs a bit more, but we think you will find that it produces a crisp light beer that rivals the finest lagers in the world. Ingredients: American barley malts and corn Florida Tupelo Honey New Zealand organic Hallertau hops Production Targets: Original Gravity: 14 Brix IBUs: 17.9 Alcohol By Volume: 5.9%

På det hela taget en öl som påminner om en lager. Liknande gräsighet i både smak och arom, samma ljusa öl med vita skum, svagt av lime och ljus knäckebröd i smaken.

Draft. Surprised I haven’t rated this yet. Aroma is sourdough bread, light grassy/floral hops, honey. Flavor is light sweetness and bitterness with a good bit of lemon, biscuit, and honey in the finish. Palate is clean, medium carbonation, light body. An excellent session ale with a nice twist.

Lightly sweet and crisp cream ale. Slightly flowery, very easy to drink, and I would not mind drinking this out of a can while outdoors.

On tap at Whole Foods , Orlando, pours an off pale yellow gold color with a small head. Nose is sweet with creamy vanilla notes. Taste is grainy and bland and not full of flavor. Finishes the same, rather boring , light and tasteless. Quaff Score 4 / 10

Appearance: sun-soaked straw under a fluffy white head with an intriguingly almost light grassy green hue along the edges. A few random bubbles trickle to the top only to meet a solid layer of white resistance.
Nose: crisp blanched bushels of straw with fresh green grass blades. Creamy sweetness along the edges. Lemon cakes with sugar crusts. Sweet grains, sweet rolls, and a touch of raw grains. Key lime zest. Bright cereal grains.
Palate: key lime rind along the edge and in the finish. Medium-light weight. Sweet honey-coated toasted cereal grains. Key lime and lemon in the middle with a light, uplifting dry finish. Honey is a subtle touch, kissing the grains and gently infusing freshly baked breads with its essence. Sugared lemon candies up front along with lemon cake with a thin sugar glaze coating. Playful. Rind slowly grows in the back swallow.
Final Thoughts: a very tasteful take on the cream ale from yet another Florida brewery making itself known in the seemingly always behind everything sunshine state. Good stuff; perfect for a day on the beach or out on the ocean relaxing with nary a care in the world.

Draft at Maggie’s Attic. Golden color and poured with minimal head. Tart and light-bodied with wheat, hay, lemon, citrus peel, and bready sweetness. I wasn’t crazy about this one but it’s a decent thirst-quencher.

On tap at Whole Foods Orlado. Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head and light aroma of grains. Taste is very light, not much taste but some grains, malt, and bread notes with a short finih. Not much flavor to enjoy
