COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Light and refreshing, yet busting with flavor. We add Florida Tupelo honey to a traditional cream ale, and just a touch of hops, to update this American classic. This is what a light beer should bee! Tupelo honey is produced from the tupelo gum tree which grows profusely along the Chipola and Apalachicola rivers of northwest Florida. Here in the river swamps, bees are placed on elevated platforms along the river’s edge or on floating barges; the bees fan out through the surrounding Tupelo-blossom-laden swamps during April and May and return with their precious treasure. This river valley is the only place in the world where Tupelo Honey is produced commercially. Tupelo Honey is considered to be the finest quality honey in the world and is the only variety certified for varietal purity. It costs a bit more, but we think you will find that it produces a crisp light beer that rivals the finest lagers in the world. Ingredients: American barley malts and corn Florida Tupelo Honey New Zealand organic Hallertau hops Production Targets: Original Gravity: 14 Brix IBUs: 17.9 Alcohol By Volume: 5.9%

Light sweet honey aroma with a taste to match. Citrus flavors are also present in this very enjoyable beer.

Pours nearly transparent. Amazing color to this thing. Unreal clear. Nose is corny, bread. Flavor is crisp, clean malts with subtle hints of hops and corn. Ridiculous good cream ale. Can drink this all day.

Beer pours a clear golden yellow color with thin white lacing. The aroma is slightly musky with some lactic notes. The palate is light yet creamy, also slightly musky. Overall very nice lighter style beer that would go down beautifully on a hot summer day. Not a cream ale drinker typically but I really dig this particular ale.

On tap at the Black Squirrel in DC. Beautiful bright orange yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is sweet, slightly grainy, a bit floral and grassy. Flavor is sweet, smooth, a hint of sharpness. This is a nice light refreshing beer. Tasty.

draft @ redlight redlight. Honey and cereal grain notes, hints of spice. Pours clear yellow with a fluffy white head. Very smooth and light, but there is a good amount of flavor, honey malts, corn, with a dry grassy finish. I dig it.

Draft @ FBGBF ’10. Swamp Head. Interesting brewery, up and coming and quite honestly, each of their beer is unique. The incorporation of locality in the brewing process is always a nice extra. Pours nice hazy golden, white head. Aroma and flavors, lots of good honey sweetness. The addition of NZ hops always brings a great dimension to the beer that I’ve come to enjoy a lot. There is a mild touch of barley, pale malts, that is nicely mixed with the bitter hops though keeping a unique honey flavor coupled with some tropical notes. Light and refreshing. Greta to see them come to Tampa.

It tasted fresh and lively. It had a bright golden color and had a slight fizz. A perfect taste of honey complimented the light taste hops. I seemed to enjoy the beer more as I kept drinking it. I would order this one again for sure.

Draught @ Tu Tu Tango. Bright yellow gold, average white head. Soft honey and leafy hops underscore clean pale malted grains with a mildly bitter finish. Paperboard dryness creeps in late. Still, a highly satisfying honey ale.

Draft: : Poured a clear white golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet grain. Taste is soft notes of grain and fruit. Very refreshing and reminds me of a good brew after a hard day’s work in the yard.
