COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Light and refreshing, yet busting with flavor. We add Florida Tupelo honey to a traditional cream ale, and just a touch of hops, to update this American classic. This is what a light beer should bee! Tupelo honey is produced from the tupelo gum tree which grows profusely along the Chipola and Apalachicola rivers of northwest Florida. Here in the river swamps, bees are placed on elevated platforms along the river’s edge or on floating barges; the bees fan out through the surrounding Tupelo-blossom-laden swamps during April and May and return with their precious treasure. This river valley is the only place in the world where Tupelo Honey is produced commercially. Tupelo Honey is considered to be the finest quality honey in the world and is the only variety certified for varietal purity. It costs a bit more, but we think you will find that it produces a crisp light beer that rivals the finest lagers in the world. Ingredients: American barley malts and corn Florida Tupelo Honey New Zealand organic Hallertau hops Production Targets: Original Gravity: 14 Brix IBUs: 17.9 Alcohol By Volume: 5.9%

Yellow pour with white head and lace. Aroma is lite malty, corn, and honey. Flavor is corn, light malt, and a good floral finish. Medium bodied but a tad fizzy. @bp

Draft at redlight redlight. Pours an extremely pale gold with a big white head and some nice lace. The nose is mild with some bright malts and grassy hops. Flavor is a little sweet but with an ok bitter hop finish. this is a crisp and pretty refreshing beer, but ultimately not that exciting. On a hot day I’d rather have a solid pilsner.

Draft at redlight. Pours a clear golden yellow color topped by a small, foamy white head that settles quickly to a thin film. The aroma shows notes of honey, cereal grain malts, corn, and some floral hops add bitterness. The flavor follows the same way the honey and cereal grain malts adding good sweetness to go with the floral hop bitterness. There is some light fruits and spice that peak through as well. A touch thin on the body with lively carbonation that leads to a crisp, dry finish. This is an easy drinking cream ale with a nice sweet flavor. Really easy to drink on those hot Florida days.

Tap from Momos in Tallahassee. Rating is after the fact - so sparse on details. Crisp thin bodied - easy drinking. Grain, honey and seemed like pepper in the finish. Little bit of tropical fruit. Fairly thin overall - but pleasant enough on a hot Florida day. Go Gators.

Lightly sweet and crisp cream ale. Slightly flowery, very easy to drink, and I would not mind drinking this out of a can while outdoors.

Draft. Surprised I haven’t rated this yet. Aroma is sourdough bread, light grassy/floral hops, honey. Flavor is light sweetness and bitterness with a good bit of lemon, biscuit, and honey in the finish. Palate is clean, medium carbonation, light body. An excellent session ale with a nice twist.
