Smooth and malty, nice choco-roastiness. Good, but just doesn’t blow me away like some of their other offerings. Still above par for sure. Nice body/mouthfeel. sloth (1691), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Appears black with a foamy, tan head that slowly fades into a small cap. Lovely chunks of foam lace sticks all around the glass.
Smell is of toasted oats, grains, cream, cocoa, light caramel, and an open bag of cereal.
Taste is of the aromas with a decent mixture, making for a toasty, sweet, full brew.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, sweet, grainy, semi-dry, with CO2 bubbles bouncing off the middle of the tongue. freekyp (908), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 15, 2006 Dark brown with a mountainous rocky tan head. Redolent with dark chocolate, thids dry style stout was sweeter than others that share the style. A syrupy molasses sweetness envelops the tongue at the finish. This lacks the roasty bitter character of its cousing, Peg Leg. Not at all bad, but overshadowed by its older cousin. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2006 This is on tap right now at the PA Rennaisance Fair. It pours dark brownish/blackish with minimal tan head. The aroma is roasty dark patent malty, with some chocoffy notes, and some molasses and nutty hints. It tastes a bit dry, with the solid roasty malt coupled with some coffee and nutty notes. Medium bodied. In my mind, this one doesn’t stack up to the Peg Leg.
