Swashbuckler October Fest / Marzen

this a dark rich beer with a frothy head. I found it to be a more robust than its sam adams counterpart. texture was smooth but not as creamy as a guiness. Had this on tap during oktoberfest at the faire.

Draft at the PA. Renaissance Fair. Pours aclear amber brown, good clarity with a small offwhite head that holds its retention fairly well. Lighly sweet malt aromas, lightly bready, fresh grain notes and maybe a hint of caramel with a light zesty spiceyness. Body is medium, lightly coating on the palate with a soft carbonation. Medium sweet malt flavors are fairly similar to the aromas. Fresh bready, grainy flavors, sorta sweet but not sticky and maybe a little nutty with the subdued spicey hop bite hiding in the background. Lightly sweet, fresh malty finish. A solid O-fest/Marzen.
