Nov 26, 2009 I’m actually surprised this beer is as highly rated as it is. I have nothing against Sweetwater nor the style, but this one was just off somehow. the hop profile is very upfront, but it tasted like cheap, old hops that do little more than bitter the brew. There is a bit of honey in the nose and on the tongue. This beer really is extra pale...super clear and clears the palate a few seconds after swallowing. My bottle tasted a little overcarbed? There are other beers in the style I’ll go back to.

Nov 2, 2009 Light, crisp. Refreshing beer that is very drinkable, yet not outstanding. I suggest this as a vehicle beer to move your macro buds to the good stuff.

Oct 30, 2009 Hmmmm, I might have been expecting something "extra" with this brew. I guess my preconceptions had clouded my impartiality to this brew because I found it pretty disappointing. I thought it was a little flat and fizzy with a slight cereal herby aftertaste. An earthy feel for sure, but I just dont think it jives well together. The sweetened honey grass didnt seem to work well together. I will try this again but maybe under different circumstances

Oct 26, 2009 Tap at Paddy’s pub. Pours out a slightly hazy light orangy golden color with a moderate slightly off white head. Aroma is of some citrus, slight sweet fruity malts and a little bit of grain. Taste is of some grassy and citrus hops, light fruit and some bread notes. Finishes dry with some citrus notes.

Oct 24, 2009 bottle, pours hazy copper with a tall frothy off white head. Nice toasted nuts and hop aroma. Very sweet and bready malt almost rye flavors with a nicely balanced arangement of hop bitterness. Some piney and resin notes of hops with lemon peel and grapefruit lingering in the finish.

Oct 22, 2009 12 oz bottle courtesy of GAManiac. Thanks, Grant! Pours a nice dark muted gold, a touch of haziness, a bit of orange, a moderate bright white cakey head that laces well. Aromas are lemony citrus, fresh cut grass, pale malts, a touch of bread. Nice. Initial is light bodied, lemon and lemonheads, grass, pale malts, bread, a bit of flowers. Light, lemon is the dominant factor, a touch of lemonhead or lemonade. Quenching, not too hoppy for a highly sessionable beer. A pretty good beer.

Oct 7, 2009 (BBE 10/08) Orange colored with cloudy appearance. Little yellow head. Sweet and tangy aroma with honey and riped fruit lemony notes, some cardboard also present. Flavor is even more cardboardy with lemony and honeyish notes, definitely something to do with one year after BBE.
