Had this on tap at glory days grill in Tampa Florida. Good grapefruit notes. Not a lot of malt flavor, but still a good apa.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours light orange with a one finger white head which fades to just a little lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, grassy hops, herbal hops, light dankness and light bready malts. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a slightly watery mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, medium finish. Overall, a slightly better then average, drinkable APA that I wish was danker and hoppier considering its name.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle poured, picked up in St. Pete. Pours a clear golden color with a thick soap bubble head. Gentle aroma of malt ahead of anything else. Cream body, very pleasant pale here. Cool sweetness, hop flavor over bitterness. Refreshing. I can drink this regularly if I had it available.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Just enough Munich malt to remind me of an Oktoberfest hangover. First had this beer at Bonnaroo in 2005, and it doesn’t seem to taste quite the same now (I can’t imagine why). It has enough hop profile to keep me entertained, but I generally like my beer like I prefer my 420: more dank/more piney/more citrus + grapefruit.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma is hop driven. The taste is bitter hops. A solid beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
BBD 5/29/16. Almost clear, light cloudiness, golden pour with a touch of amber and garnet. Quite outstanding head volume, world class lacing and retention.
Very light nose of mixed citrus with a touch of spice. With a name of 420, one would expect a dank nose. This one is not.
Light body that has a smooth element. Good carbonation for the body with just enough mid effervescence and a prickly finish.
The flavor profile is average - not bad, but not quite solid either. Intensity, complexity and balance are adequate resulting in a tasty pale ale but nothing really pops. It begins with a blended hop flavor that has subtle citrus notes then flows to a very mildly bittered middle. A hint of sweetness arrives to balance an equally weak bitterness. The finish is a slow fade of light hop flavor and bitterness.
