1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Draft. Light golden color. Toasty hop notes and grass in the nose. Body is sweet and hoppy with a light touch of malt. Very uninteresting beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle... Poured hazy, amber-orange with a moderate white head. Nice lacing and retention. Faint florally hopped nose. Lots of grains here. Nice, light mouthfeel. Grainy and light fruit sweetness all around with some hops. A little drying towards the finish. Some citrus, grassy, earthy spiced hops made this one interesting.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Has always and will always be my go-to beer for the summer. This one has a much more citrus kick than any IPA I have had and almost has a rush of grapefruit on the initial sip until the hops come into play. I don't mind the stronger carbonation but I can see where this may be a turn off to some. The citrus notes really take the edge off the ABV so be careful (or not) lest you start feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. If you're anywhere in the southeast, look for the rainbow trout on the tap. You won't be disappointed.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent golden orange with foamy white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes of mild but balanced hops with a pale malt backbone. Average on the palate. Alright.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Aroma is malt with some hops. Appearance is golden with a foamy head. Taste is slightly hoppy with some malt in the background. Palate is very carbonated, but pretty mild for the hops. Overall, a decent beer. Would like to try on draft.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is clean with straw and bready malt notes. Taste is straw-like malt upfront with some slightly sweet bready malt in the follow through. Aftertaste is light floral and grassy hops with some lingering sweet bready malt. Palate is thin and light. Overall not a bad APA. Pretty drinkable as there is nothing real aggressive.

4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I’m not usually an IPA drinker but this is great. Smell is a little off at first even musty, but the flavor is great. It lives up to its name, most IPA’s are bitter and leave a bad after taste; but sweetwater 420 is really good and refreshing. If this is your first IPA, it might as well be your last. Good brew
