Had this beer on tap at the Boar’s Head Tavern in Savannah, Ga. After the first swallow I had to force myself to drink it just so I could justify the 5 or 6 bucks I spent, hoping that it might get better. Not everyone can be satisfied...

Bottle, purchased either in Nashville or in Bellevue, KY (Cincy). Clear copper and gold colored body. Crisp and bitter pine sap hops up front, piney, syrupy and oily like a proper APA... classic pale ale fresh hop cone grassy flavor, really nice actually. Lightly sweet, crisp with a bit of a plastic malt flavor behind. Decent, certainly drinkable, something I would buy in 6 or 12 packs for sure, but we’re not talking about any best-of lists.

A damn fine southern-brewed beer from Atlanta. A pale shade of amber upon pour with piney overtones in the aroma. Tastes excellent going down with a little bit of a bitter aftertaste. A little lighter than most pale ales

This bottled brew from a bottle shop marked best before the 2nd week of month 7 (what? No year??? thats lame) poured a small sized head of fine to large sized white colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a transparent typically carbonated light orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy malty and dough. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The crisp flavor contained notes of malt hops. It was not overly done, but had a nice balance of hops and malt on a malty base. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Light orange color with a slightly off white head. Aroma is grainy, pine/citrus, and sweet, nice. Taste was a bit astringent, lemony, lightly toasted, and rather dry. Medium bodied mouthfeel, and my sample had rather low carbonation. Overall, a very decent pale ale.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2013 Via CaptainCougar. The beer pours to a very clean looking glowing amber body with a lasting white head and a decent lacing. The aroma is piney and dried pineapples and papaya. The flavor is lightly piney with dried papaya and light graham crackers. Nice centennial hops. The palate, unfortunately, leaves a lingering leafy bitterness that I didn?t like. There are somethings I like about this beer, some not. Perhaps this is just edging on a touch old? Rerate: had this fresh in bottle and tap in Atlanta. Much better and super easy drinking.

12oz - best before 9/27/06 - thanks Secret Santa July 06. Aroma of malt and lemon. Pours transparent yellow with no head or lacing. Flavor is a pretty bland malty brew with a hint of lemon. Really isn’t much palate either. I can see this being popular is the heat of the South and after I mow my lawn, but otherwise not too exciting.

Nice little piney nose to it, big thin head with some lacing. Caronated bite, then a mild hoppiness, a slight mettalic finish, although this could be the specific beer or date. I was expecting a better apa since it claims to be in the west coast category. Quite quaffale though. Overall is ok, im glad the south is at least trying.
