3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TomTron (299) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - NOV 15, 2012Pours a slightly hazy orange with a sudsy white head. Aromas of grassy hops and some yeast. Taste is a tad hoppy but the caramel malts are also there balancing it out. Seems the hops left on the tongue are more predominant in the aftertaste than in the initial sip. Not an outstanding representation of the style but a rather drinkable one that is widely available everywhere in my region.

420 is probably the most popular Atlanta beer; standard in most Atlanta restuarants and bars. This is just an overall drinkable beer - enough flavor and hops to be interesting, but not so robust and heavy that you can session it.

Bottle from tackle box to glass. Pours copper with small white head and minimal lacing. Aroma is bready and earthy. Taste is very mild hops with sweet malt in front. Very drinkable. Palate is medium thin with little carbonation. Great after a long overhead door kind of day. This is an excellent beer. Not exciting. But excellent.

Pretty good. At bully’s. Light hazy orange. Nose is nutty and yeasty. Palate is weighty. Hast the yeastiness. Also plenty of hops and a dry finish. Good.

Bottle courtesy of Biggsbowler. Pours a very dark gold with thin white fluffy head that fades and leaves minimal lace. Aromas are heavy on the caramel/sweet malt then a small dose of citrus and grass hops. Flavors are again sweeter than expected with the malts coming on strong and then fading into a bitter slightly citrus, grass and floral hop aftertaste. Palate is very thick for an Extra Pale Ale, its rather sticky and as heavy as some DIPAs. Overall, this is a barely above average Extra Pale Ale, lots of better examples out there IMO.

Had it out of a bottle. Not much changed. A little flat, not hoppy enough for a pale ale. But even if it was hoppier, it would still taste funky. Bad combo of hops, and should have a little more body to support it. At least it’s clear.
