Free sample on draft at Atlanta airport. This one did not have much body, and the flavor and aroma were pretty mediocre as well.

Bottle. It pours a hazy, golden-orange body under a minimal sized off-white head. Resiny, grassy nose with a nice maltyness, hints of beef-stock as well. The flavor has a little peach added to the grassy, resiny hops, and the sweet malts makes a nice foundation. Medium to full body with pleasant carbonation. A bit low on bitterness in the finish. Quite quenching and drinkable, without being big at all. (090520)

A: The pour is burnt orange in color with a fluffy white head. S: The nose is quite floral with a light citrus component. There’s also a tea-like note to it, which I’m still undecided on. T: Like the nose, the citrus character is a bit light, but the floral flavors provide the bulk of the hop influence. Due to the highly floral nature of the beer, there’s almost a honey feel to it. M: The body is on the light end of medium with a crisp and plentiful carbonation. D: This seems to be one of the quintessential beers in the south, and I can see why. Not my favorite pale ale, but a real easy drinker.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2009 Light amber. Fruity aroma - berryish, slight apple skin. Light wood on the palate with faint breadcrust. Light malts support fruity, slightly citrusy hops.
