2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pous a clear gold with a high, mixed-grain, just off-white head with lace. Nose is not very pungent -- that big pillowy head dampens it -- but what there is is orange and floral notes. Some hops bite up front followed by Sunny Delight orange sweetness behind. A little hard cheese umami follows. Low carbonation. Finish is really brief and mostly unremarkable. This is OK, but Iíve had better.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Pours amber with a foamy off white head. Heavy carbonation. Aroma is of hops, malt, grass, and pine. Taste is of floral hops, pine, and grass. Has a lingering, bitter hop taste. Itís so very grassy. Medium fizzy mouthfeel. Has a decent taste and it drinks easy. Nothing that will blow you away, but it drinks real easy.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Mellow Mushroom. Pours golden/ amber with a white head. Aroma of lemon grass and malt.. Taste is much lighter than I would have guessed from the aroma., Light hops, a bit sweet, but overall a sessionable Pale. Light body, light carbonation.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Keep coming back to see if there's something I'm missing but the 402 IPA just doesn't stand out for me. I would call it a competent, middle it the road IPA that is more crisp, and less bitter than others in this niche, but lacking other qualities that might set it apart.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle shared by my brother-in-law. Smells like grain, kind of like a cheap mass-produced lager. The taste is better than the aroma, super-bitter pine and citrus rind hops with not enough malt to balance it. Super-dry palate. Not a bad APA, but not exactly a good one. I am definitely glad I only had one of these.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a nice and easy drinking APA. It is slightly hazed orange w/ a thin head of fine white bubbles. The hop character is surprisingly floral given the varieties used, very lavender-like. This is try, crisp and bitter. Itís a medium bodied brew w/ moderate carbonation. Aside from the floral accent, this doesnít really hold many surprised--not that thatís a bad thing. I could down a sixer of this and thereís plenty of hops and thatís pretty much 100% of what I want from this style.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From tap. Nice frothy white head, copper, color. Yeast, caramel, hints of pine. Light body caramel, bread sweet, slightly dry. Uninspiring.
