Brew #3 from the tacklebox. IPA for last. [A] Somewhat stale, kind of lake water caramel primarily. Citrusy hops present. Pale malts are doughy, and compliment the caramel. Astringent graininess. [A] Gold. [F] Orangey citrus. Big, malty caramel backbone. Slightly English-y. Not as big a hop bite on end as most APAs Iíve enjoyed. Caramel finsh. [P] Another nicely drinkable brew. Wonderful mouth. Just not as hopped up as Iíd prefer. [O] From the tacklebox, Iím pretty disappointed to say the fruit beer has been my fave so far. The SchíWheat and this were average. Something I would grab over a Sam Adams if nothing else were available. On the other hand, Iím sure this would go great with some chronic.

12 oz bottle shared by my brother-in-law. Smells like grain, kind of like a cheap mass-produced lager. The taste is better than the aroma, super-bitter pine and citrus rind hops with not enough malt to balance it. Super-dry palate. Not a bad APA, but not exactly a good one. I am definitely glad I only had one of these.

This is a nice and easy drinking APA. It is slightly hazed orange w/ a thin head of fine white bubbles. The hop character is surprisingly floral given the varieties used, very lavender-like. This is try, crisp and bitter. Itís a medium bodied brew w/ moderate carbonation. Aside from the floral accent, this doesnít really hold many surprised--not that thatís a bad thing. I could down a sixer of this and thereís plenty of hops and thatís pretty much 100% of what I want from this style.

From tap. Nice frothy white head, copper, color. Yeast, caramel, hints of pine. Light body caramel, bread sweet, slightly dry. Uninspiring.

Light unclear golden color with a fine white head. Ok lacing. Caramel malty, a bit fruity and citric. Medium body. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation. Caramel malty, fruity and citric flavor. Quite fresh and nice.
