3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear yellowish in color with a thin white head. The aroma is rather simple, containing a good amount of both blueberries and cereal with a lesser amount of wheat. The taste relies on blueberry and cereal flavors. These are complimented by grassy hops, wheat, and milder amounts of grapefruit and lemon. A slight blueberry aftertaste lingers on your palate for a bit. This is light in body, has a thinner texture, and is average in carbonation. That being said, I like this blueberry this one has going for it. Its the main theme, yet it isn’t overpowering. I usually don’t like fruity beers, but this one tastes pretty good and goes down well.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of fresh blueberry, some citrus. Nice pale yellow color with a thick white head. Sweet wheat flavors up front with a faint note of sweet blueberry....but not overpowering. Refreshing finish with a peppery bitterness that is mild. Blueberry full in the nose but light in the taste. Good session beer for summer. Nice beer

Old rating. Pale golden. Cereal body with artificial-tasting blueberry flavoring, slightly sweet and slightly metallic. Nope.

This is not horrible. The blueberry is pretty subtle making this somewhat less stupid than it could me. It’s cloudy yellow orange w/ a head of fine white bubbles. Nose is mostly Captain Crunch smelling grain w/ a hint of Crunchberry. I wish I was kidding about that. It tastes pretty much the same but is nicely dry w/ crisp carbonation and medium body. It finishes clean w/ some lingering Crunchberry. I could drink a whole lot of this if it came down to it so I guess that makes it OK enough for me.

Keg at the Beer Sellar, Nashville, 15/02/15.
Pale golden with a moderate white cap.
Nose is blueberry, sweet notes, straw, faint pale malts.
Taste comprises blueberry syrup, straw, not as sweet as the nose suggested.
Medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, semi drying close.
So so fruit affair.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Freebie from Rob Gs fridge. Aroma: Good amount of blueberry and a little wheat; pretty simple. Appearance: Well carbonated gold with a skin of white head that fades pretty fast. Flavor: Blueberry up front, but wheat underneath throughout; about 60/40 blueberry to wheat; dries out well enough with a very slight bitterness. Palate: Light body, slick texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Overall: Just fine as a simple, blueberry quencher.

I make blueberry beer with fresh blueberries. I like blueberry beer. Blueberry beer is a friend of mine. This is no blueberry beer. Tastes like a light wheat beer with blueberry flavoring added. Blueberry beer is best made with fresh wild blueberries ... second choice fresh high bush. This beer is light, refreshing, and is a decent beer. But it tastes artificial (better than some of the blueberry competition for sure). When I make a blueberry beer, I use a pound per gallon; the beer is strongly colored and flavored (but that depends on the quality of the blueberries). I don’t know if they use real blueberries in this beer, but the aroma is of natural or artificial with other natural flavorings.
