COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweetwater Blue is a unique lighter style ale enhanced with a hint of fresh blueberry. When you drink this beer take a good whiff first and you’ll smell the blueberry influence, but on the taste it’s extremely subtle and the finish is extra clean. Ain’t no fruit beer, but it is our breakfast beer, usually folks that are looking to quench their thirst or for those that are new to the “good beer” lifestyle; this is their choice. This brew and the ESB were the original two to go through the tanks at SweetWater in February 1997.

Medals: Bronze medal winner at the 1998 World Beer Cup, Fruit Beer category; Always the funky favorite at any outdoor beer festival

Malt: 2 Row, Wheat

Hops: Centenial

The beer pours light straw in color with a small head. It smells delicious, light blueberry sweetness soft in the nose. The flavor of a pilsner followed by light sweet bluebs again as in the aroma. The mouthfeel is too light, but good on a hot summer day.

In the top five of blueberry beers. The aroma and taste are fantastic!

Pours a clear yellow with a bubbly head. Nice aroma of blueberries with a funky sourness. Good blueberry flavor upfront, but then finishes a bit sour. Light and crisp. Pretty nice session fruit beer.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a light amber color with a bit of a white head. The nose brings some strong blueberry characteristics. The taste is overly dominated by the blueberry, although there is some light bread underneath as well. The feel is pretty light with good carbonation and the blueberries are carried well. Drinks really quite well and is a nice, sessionable summer brew. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-28-2010

Favorite beer from one of my favorite companies, that explains the high rating. I would bathe in this, see other reviews for the tech talk, all you should know from me is that this shit is great.

Slightly cloudy pour with nice white head. Blueberry is obvious on the nose, and comes through in a well balanced way in the mouth. Refreshing, no aftertaste, really easy to drink.

Tona of blueberry in the aroma. Flavor is light with hints of blueberry. A breast finish. Overall not too bad.
