Sweetwater Blue is a unique lighter style ale enhanced with a hint of fresh blueberry. When you drink this beer take a good whiff first and you’ll smell the blueberry influence, but on the taste it’s extremely subtle and the finish is extra clean. Ain’t no fruit beer, but it is our breakfast beer, usually folks that are looking to quench their thirst or for those that are new to the “good beer” lifestyle; this is their choice. This brew and the ESB were the original two to go through the tanks at SweetWater in February 1997.

Medals: Bronze medal winner at the 1998 World Beer Cup, Fruit Beer category; Always the funky favorite at any outdoor beer festival

Bottle and draft... A very well balanced blueberry beer. Drinks more like a blueberry pilsner than a wheat beer which is nice for a change. Not too sweet but a straight forward blueberry beer. Probably second only to cigar city blueberry muffin brown

Draft at ChurchKey. Pours a clear golden yellow color with an off-white head. Big blueberries in the aroma with subtle wheat notes, blueberry may be muting some of the other aromas. Taste is mostly blueberries and wheat, well balanced and not overpowering. Good medium body.

12oz bottle, from Party Town. Best before 12/13/14. Clear golden color. Little white head. Some fine particles in the body. Doesn’t really leave any lace, just a dot or two. Light to medium body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick texture. Good blueberry aroma to it, light wheat maybe. An authentic aroma, not artificial nor syrupy. Moderate sweet, but not in a sugary way. Finishes more dry. Light bit of tart. Good, refreshing blueberry beer. Met expectations.

Clear golden color, white head. Blueberries, sweet, sugary taste. Blueberry, sugary aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, low to very low bitterness. Sweet, blueberry scent.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow/gold with a smallish head. Aroma of blueberry and bready malts. Interesting and decent, but I won’t have another.

Hazy golden pour with a nice head that went away quickly. Aroma is distinctly blueberry, though the taste of blueberry doesn’t come through as strong as the smell. Very mild and smooth, pleasantly surprised.

Bottle. Smells strongly of blueberry, but just tastes like wheat and bubbles with a slight hint of the smell. Clear, yellow, no head. More than the sum of its parts.

Bottle. Bought in Fort Lauderdale. Nice experience, the blueberry not too prominent in appearance.

A great easy to drink summer beer . Very crisp and smooth. Pours a very light color without much head. Smells more than tastes like blueberry. Easy to drink.
