My first Sweetwater brew. Tackle Box retrieved from Wine World in Panama City Beach, FL on a family vacation. [A] Smells like a blueberry snack cake. Or something around those lines. Some pale and grainy malt whiffs. Not offensive, for a fruit beer. Simple. Delightfully sweet. [A] A very pale yellow with a fizzy white head into glass. [F] Flavor is pretty simple, too. Pale malts. Biscuity. Bueberry is really subdued, which is a great thing to me. Sweetness hangs around. Nothing rancid. [P] Light mouthfeel. Not a big hop bitter, but enough crisp to keep my interest. Decent carbonation. Drinkable. [O] I despise most fruit beers. Havenít tried a whole lot, because the ones I HAVE tried, totally suck. But this was a nice balance. Would probably make a nice intro to micros. Great summery brew. Beatís the shyt out of Berry Weiss. Nothing to rave about, but Iíll give it some credit for NOT being the total disappointment I had expected.

5/2/2010. Sampled at the brewery. Straw yellow with a white head. Definitely blueberry aromas. Malt and light hops too, but mostly just blueberry. Summer beer maybe?

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle best by three weeks ago, oh no... - pours slightly unfiltered gold with big bubbled white head. Ukraine can suck it. Nose is very berry. Sweet with a wheat finish: swheat. Easy to drink. Fruity. I probably wouldnít drink more than five in a row, unless I never want to ever drink this ever again, ever.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The appearance is decent with a nice golden yellow color with a decent amount of white foamy head, great carbonation, but no lacing. The smell is a great smell of blueberries that lingered well but wasnít too sweet which was nice. The taste was decent with good amount of blueberries and some mild bitterness, but you donít really getting any wheat flavoring. The mouthfeel was just okay as it left a mild bitterness in the mouth but that was it. Overall, this is a pretty good blueberry beer and not that I am huge fruit beer fan this one was decent.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
SweetWater Blue has a thin, white head, which fizzes right away, no lacing, and a mostly clear, golden appearance, with an enormous amount of white powdery sediment suspended throughout. The aroma is of blueberries, with an underlying bread smell. Taste is of blueberry, white bread, sweetness, and a slight bitter note. Mouthfeel is medium, and SweetWater Blue finishes semi-dry, refreshing, fruity, and highly drinkable. Overall, this is good. RJT

Pours yellow. Aroma is wheat, blueberries, and some 2 row. Blueberries are well-pronounced in the aroma. Flavor is light all around with no flavors standing out. Decent.

Slightly hazy deep golden with very little head.
Fine aroma features blueberry: think fine fresh preserves.some wheat and barley malt base too.the flavor has good balance, with prominent blueberry but a solid malt base.only lightly sweet with a good bit of tartness.
Medium-light body with near medium carbonation.

Fun beer I havenít had in a helluva long time. Blueberries and beer go well together. Pours slightly hazy gold with small white head. Scent is blueberry and a touch of sugar. Taste is blueberry tart sweet. Less carbonated than expected, in a good way. Bottle - Gift from a Friend
