COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This year’s anni ale has everything in it but the pitch fork and a bale of hay. With over two months of fermentation and cellaring time, this saison plows the field as it harvests spicy farmhouse overtones from its primary Fraunch saison yeast. That funky monkey delivers a strapping alc 9 % by vol, seeding a perfect foundation for secondary Brettanomyces fermentation, which hoes a cornucopia of tart and effervescent flavors. Distinct citrus notes from the finishing hops cultivate a naturally freaky fresh palate tweaker.
Here’s to the next 17 trips around that burning ball in the sky!
Grains: 63% 2 Row, 12% Rye, 11% Wheat, 6% Munich, 4% 13/17, 3% Melanoidin

Clear copper color with ivory head. Nice spicy yeast, bready pale malt, earthy fruity aromas. Medium body with average carbonation. Spicy, yeasty, light pit fruit flavors with a spicy alcohol twang to finish____big Saison.

Tasted on 7/7/14 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Green’s on Buford Highway. Pours very clear dark orange with a thick off-white head that slowly recedes to an average collar of lace. The nose is a caramel malty version of spicy Saison with an herbal hops note and just a touch of funk. The flavor is the same malt-forward herbal Saison with some decent funk on the back of the palate. The body is medium with lively, stinging carbonation, and a long malty, spicy Saison, and touch of barnyard finish.

22oz bottle in a teku. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma of spices and bananas, some pale malts, light hints of wheat, too much alcohol for this style, and some hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not the best.

Tap sample. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy fruit, spice, yeast and earthy malt aroma. Medium to full body with a slick dry texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy yeast sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded with a solid change of pace brew.

5/15/14. Bomber. Pours hazy golden. More peachy than citrus nose with a strong bready Brett notes. Lots of funky dark flavors going on. Interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ruby tinged amber pour. Small off white head. Fruity aroma with notes of caramel. Earthy yeast flavor with a nice malt backbone. Can tell it is 9%.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Whole Foods Market - on tap. Pours a slightly hazy medium orange with a slight but persistent snow white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma has some perfume essence, a touch of scuppernong grapes. Flavor is bold with some spicy coriander notes, some light bubble gum, white grapes, slight booziness. Thick, rich mouthfeel. Enjoyable

Doughy, peach/apricot aroma with some sweat. Muddy, medium brown with a frogs’ eggs thin head. Terrible logo. Spicy, slightly sour, fruity, peppery, lightly sweet, woody, peppery. Starchy body, tight carbonation. Finish has some off notes. Alcohol bitterness in the flavor and finish. On tap, Whole Foods, Tallahassee.

Let down. Not doing it for me. Tastes like a low carbonated super hefe. Lots of sweet clove. Very little saison charm. Tons of better examples of this. Not super enjoyable to drink. Needs more bubbles. Less clove. More play from the yeast. And less sweetness. In my opinion... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

8 ounces at Suttree’s Tavern. Pours orange with a white head. This is a nice attempt at a Saison, but it suffers like many other American-made saisons. The aroma is of massive cloves with sticky sugars and booze. The palate is very full. It’s too sugary for a proper saison with loads of clove hitting my palate. There are no real flaws, but it is missing the nucances that I want from the style. It gets tough to drink after a few sips with the snowballing taste of sticky cloves, sugar and booze.
