COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Up next, we are crossing borders and boundaries with the latest Dank Tank creation - Border Hopper, with a little help from their friend, Señor Dank, who left his full bodied wife, Lupa, and their eight screaming babies in search of the freshest hop harvest in the land and the promise fields of Buford Highway. His censored journey began in the hop fields of Yakima where he scored some of the stickiest, freshest green hops, found a farmer’s daughter, and ended up in Atlanta where he deals his stash to the boys at SweetWater to create this highly aggressive, censored, and muy fresh double India pale ale. This brew is pushing the envelope as our newest addition to the series of rarely released, experimental beers. The double IPA, brewed with fresh Citra hops, is 8.6 percent ABV, comes in 22 ounce bottles and on draft and is best served fresh. But act fast because this stash won’t last forever. Just like that rash you got in Tijuana, the Border Hopper will be gone just as soon as the next brewing itch needs to be scratched.

On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Pours dark gold with a large beige head. The aroma is sweet citrus hops and caramel. The flavor is very bitter with an ample malt backbone. The palate is smooth and creamy, with a crisp finish. Intense hop profile, but well balanced and smooth.

22oz bottle, unknown date (although quite fresh). Pours very hazy amber/orange with a small white head that fades quickly to a ring and wispy cap, hardly any lacing. Aroma is full of citrus, oranges, tangerine, grapefruit, as well as some pineapple and tropical fruit, a little pine, caramel and bread. Very good strength. Flavor follows suit with oranges, tangerine, some sweet grapefruit, pineapple, mango, melons, then a solid sweet caramel malt backbone, good bitterness on the finish with some lingering sweetness from the malt. Tasty. Mouthfeel is medium to almost full, creamy, medium carbonation. What? A citrus bomb coming from Sweetwater? Who’da thunk?!

Similar to their regular IPA, but stronger. A decent amount of grapefruit hop flavor with some sweet earthy malts. Not bitter at all. Medium bodied and full flavored. On the sweet side for a DIPA.

Bomber. Light tan IPA. Heavy heady hop nose; canned mandarin orange juice & fresh straw. Pineapple. Stupid easy drinkability, prickly tongue palate. Fucking A Nice but the race issue left a bad taste in my mouth: Points lost.

Amber, slightly golden appearance with a thin white head. Aroma is fresh hops and a little grassy. Flavor is hoppy, a little piney with minor grapefruit in the finish. Overall tastes like a slightly supercharged version of their 420. Really like this one, would have again if I can find it.

On tap at Perimeter Taco Mac (killed the keg). Poured a dark copper color with a large white head. Aroma is a wonderful blend of citrus & pine hops and a almost fruity aroma as well. The flavor matches with a very nice malty backbone. A nice smooth palate. Very impressed by this beer. Hoping I can find this a the store to get some more.

Bomber thanks to thirdeye11. Poured a honey colored body with a ring of head that was sticky and left nice lacing. Aroma of fresh pine/resinous hops, melon and caramel sweetness. Flavors of piney hops up front and floral on the finish. Nice smooth medium bitter finish with balance caramel sweetness in between. Active carbonation with a medium body. Solid!
