While Krones was working on SweetWater’s brewhouse, which they were 3 months behind schedule on (that part is true), one of their sour kraut engineers drove a gabelstapler over Mr. Dank’s toe and broke it. Mr. Dankenschnitzel jumped a flug to Krones HQ in Deustchland to pick up his large siedlung check. Looking to quell his T Pain, Dank beelined it to Oktoberfest in Munchen and into the arms of a friendly farulein who quickly uber serviert him. Stumbling blindly, Herr Dankenschnitzel, laden in lederhosen and longingly looking for a lovely loo, humpelte into the Bitterburger Brewery to drain the main vein. Unable to hold it any longer, Danken Guender feuer abegespritzt all over the control panel, short circuiting their infamous Oktoberfest bier. The beer no longer fit the rhinobutt purity law, so Hans and Franz kicked his arsch out of the mother land and told Danky doodle dandy to take that mischmasch back to SübWaßer with him.

22oz bottle. clear amber with a large, fluffy, beige head. malty nose of an in-style beer half it’s size. abv is very deceiving. tastes like a regular 5%-ish oktoberfest. lots of toasty malt with only bittering hops. i like a few floral notes but this is really good anyway.

I always try to rate to style and this one hits it in almost every way save the ABV. Pours a crystal clear orange with a medium tan head and lots of tiny bubbles. Aroma is a bit floral, bit stale lemon. Flavor is medium bodied and well balanced. Hints of bready carmel that are held up by a fantastic sazz(?) bitter that is not overpowering but...balancing. Good brew.

Amber colored body was clear, and the head that formed was well proportioned at two fingers thick. The aroma was a nice malty smell reminding me of toffee, and caramel apples. The taste was a bit more concentrated than the typical Oktoberfest beer, which is to be anticipated considering the strength. The toasted malts and clean lager character were spot on. There a spicy hop presence in the finish, which was quite a bit of a departure from the style.

Bottle from trade: hop aroma was a little less than expected.. If you like oktoberfest beers and IPAs, this is the beer for you.

Pours mostly clear deep re3ddish amber under a sticky, off-white head. Bright, sweet fruity aroma. Sweet and syrupy. You could pass this off as an English Barleywine. Definitely not to style for a Oktoberfest/ Marzen.

Brewvival Trip Beer 20. Bomber from Bruisin Ales. Pours a clear copper color. Aroma of caramel, toffee and minty, earthy hops. The taste is bitter herbal hops, toffee malts. Medium bodied, quite drinkable.

Strong aroma is malty with a woody hint and a touch of nutmeg. Pours a beautiful clear mahogany with a fairly thick light wheat head. Rich, malty flavor has subtle hoppy, earthy and caramel tones and a nutty hint. Texture is a little bit "dirty" (seems to have a little fine dust) and has good body and fizz. Prosit for Oktoberfest!

Pours a deep copper color from the bomber with thin off-white head and light lacing. Aroma of sweet german malts and hop back end. Taste follows suit, one of the best oktoberfests ever, with alcohol well hidden. Great marzen.

Deep amber pour with a frothy tan head. Sweet bready malt aroma with hint of nuttiness, brown sugar, caramel with a flowery hop component. Flavor is brown sugar, toasted bread, hint of nuts with a floral/piney hop coming in on the back of the tongue. Medium bodied with a smooth creamy finish. Pretty solid Oktoberfest.
