COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Red Hot Mama from Yakima was one bad *itch, running through farmers like they were her personal toys. She especially had her way with our old buddy Vinny from Van Horn Farms and left him drained in the fields as she hitched her way out of town with a dress full of fresh hops. This Red Hot Mama was not one to mess with. She hooked up with a Harley gang, and made her way down to Atlanta looking for a soul to steal. She met her match with El Danko, and the two of them got nasty in the brewhouse together; clothes and hops were flying all over the place. The load of fresh Centennial hops were dropped, and head brewer Nick Nock scrambled to use ’em as they smelled extra dank! After hosing of, El Danko showed her the door. He knew he didn’t have enough left in him for another round. Right on, Red Hot Mama. Girl, you sure look good to me!

Reddish brown with a decent off white head. Musty, somewhat hoppy aroma. Flavor is some grapefruit hops with a little toasted caramel. Pleasant, thought it could use a little more body to give a richer flavor. Wife: 3.6

Albany, Ga. - Warehouse Package Store - 22 oz bomber. Pours a deep dark brown with a thick khaki colored head that leaves a thick trail of lacing. Aroma has some heavy spruce accents, a touch of brown sugar. Full-bodied flavor with some fruity cherry notes, some bittersweet citrus notes, some brown sugar sweetness and a touch of caramel. Mouthfeel has a nice thickness to it. Pretty solid entrant from Sweetwater.

I’m always excited to get my hands on the latest installment of Sweet Water’s Dank Tank series. I’ve landed some pretty awesome brews from it in the past. Here is goes. Pours a deep reddish brown with a thin frothy white head. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is slightly bitter, citrus rind, floral notes, brown sugar, and a hint of alcohol. Taste feels a little empty on the front then a wave of citrus, hops, and spices hits you, before fading away in a faint malty sweetness. Finish is rather clean, and the mouthfeel is smooth if not a bit on the thin side. Overall this is a decent beer, and the progression of flavor you get from it is unique. Unfortunately I feel like it’s a bit on the forgettable side, as it really lacks any sort of "wow" factor.

8 oz. on tap. Clear deep brown with a thin film of cream and some nice lace. Aroma of earthy toffee, citrus and some hints of evergreen resin. Tastes of orange zest, toffee, earthy leaf and resiny wood. Medium body is tingly and watery, with smooth carbonation and a dry finish. Has all the elements of a really nice beer, but somehow they don’t quite mesh.

Bottle. Poured clear dark copper with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex hop and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.

11/5/13. 22oz bottle from Grassroots. Hazy red amber pour with a small khaki head that fades and laces moderately. Moderate hops aroma, lightly dank, some bubblegum and citrus, caramel and chocolate. Mild hop bitterness, plenty of chocolate in the flavor, some muted caramel and breadiness. Goes down surprisingly well for the ABV, but also surprisingly drab.

Bottle sampled at Cajun Cafe Fall Beer Fest. Poured a mostly clear amber with an off-white head. Nose is big sweet malt, some light herbal and grassy hops, but big sweetness. Flavor is similar- lots of malt, sweet, and herbal/ grassy hops. Medium in body and a nice amber-ish ale.

Bottle thanks to Matt! Pours a clear very dee amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with a bit of toffee and a hint of grassy hops. Flavor has more of a combination of sweet grains, bread and grassy hops with a hint of toffee underlying.

Bomber to snifter (shared by me with the crew). Looks good; a semi-transparent amberish brown with off-white lacing. Smells solid; sweet, hoppy, and malty. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Good beer.
