The Gimp A love story! A wide open Old Ale, The Gimp gags up Alc.10.3% by Vol. and is bred to be stashed in a Dank dark cellar only to be brought out for your most “special” guests! This full-bodied Gimp gives off sweet scents of caramel and toffee and, as legend has it, warm sensations of malt balanced by low voltage doses of hops delivering a SHOCKER you’ll actually want to receive. Don’t keep The Gimp’s leash too tight, as he will mellow with age and become more experienced the longer he stays locked up in the cellar. Bring out The Gimp!

Sampled at Slutfest 4 - Sexytime! Just not doing it for me. Kinda a mess of chocolate malt and bitter hop and interesting. But just not what I was looking for. Awesome name and label though.

Sweet aroma, bitter taste. Brown pour, thin head. Aroma of toffee, raisin, plum, brown sugar. Taste is the same before piney bitterness comes through as well as a slight peppery heat. Very slight alcohol burn. Medium body..

Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is light caramel and toffee. Flavor is rich caramel and toffee with a nice hit of hops which surprised me for an old ale. It’s a little thinner than some, but I find it quite pleasant. Wife: 3.85

22 oz. bottle. Dark, ruby color, with a small, tan head. Dark chocolate, cherries, heavy cream, peat, and savory spices. Very sweet, with a very faint roasted and hoppy bitterness. The palate is heavy, sticky, and fairly dry. The finish is mildly bitter, with lots of alcohol warming. Overall, this is a strong, malty, and complex beer.

Mahogany colored pour with an off-white head. Big caramel sweetness, toasted malt, toffee, and some dark fruit. Some piney hops, a bit of grapefruit peel, and a touch of chocolate. There’s a nice malt and fruit sweetness to the flavor. Light pine bitterness, some citrus, and big caramel, toffee, and brown sugar.

22oz bottle from warehouse wine in Spring Hill. Pours a hazy brown with an off-white head. Nose is chestnuts, citrus hops, earth, big toffee, and nuts. Flavor is similar with big toffee up front, some earth, citrus, and chestnuts. Medium in body with no booze considering the size of this beer.

The gimp is making me gimpy. You seriously cannot detect the 10.3 percent and that is a very dangerous, but good thing. Pours a deep mahogany with a slight white ring of head. Deep swarthy malts with scads of toffee. Nice balance with a whack of dark hops in the finish.

Transparent dark brown, not much thin head. Brown sugar and umami nose, buttery toffee flavors, strong alcohol.
