COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Workin’ as a caddy at Bushwood, El Danko was stoked to find out he would be shouldering Boob Barker’s bag. Figuring Boob was a swell guy who liked to have fun, El Danko slipped an exploding golf ball onto the first tee. Boob was so enraged after the ball blew, he threw a haymaker at El Danko and broke his high heel. Fearing a big lawsuit and being hammered in the tabloids, Boob offered him a rigged spot on the Price is Wrong to keep him quiet. Sure enough, down in Studio City 42 days later, Rod Roddy bellowed out to El Danko “C’mon down!” He was ecstatic as they wheeled out some fancy leather chaps and some extra crisping hair mousse, which he just purchased last week. Bidding $420 on the lot, El Danko nailed it! With a kiss from Barker ’s Beauties as the bonus, he strutted on stage and with a wink he gave a slap on the ass to Boob Barker himself. On to the big prize, El Danko was confronted with the infamous Cliff Hanger climb! Just as the yodeler was about to cliff dive off the ledge, he came to a screeching halt. The Dankster had pulled it off, winning the prize behind Door #2: Pimpin’ high heels and some private time behind Curtain #3 with Ester-y, the Belgian Barker Beauty, who 9 months later delivered the biggest surprise of all! Blam!!! El Danko is a dad living in Belgium. Jobless, he got a gig at Ester-y’s family brewery to pay for his Price is Wrong love child, Bar nold Schwarzenkegger. The Boob Barker Belgian Behemoth Boogieboy. Benjoy!

I can’t figure out if this beer is a joke or some sort of pornography. If someone carpet bombed Belgium with Daisy Cutters filled with hops, this beer would be the scenery on some Belgian brewer’s descent into hell. Flanders took it pretty hard in WWI and doesn’t deserve this sort of abuse. On the other hand, DIPA is pretty much all about the hops. The rest of the beer is just window dressing so why not Flemish treatments. In any case, these hops sing as they demolish the palate. Many beers claim to be hop bombs but end up being tame and balanced. This beer has no such inclination towards civility.

Poured from bomber. Pours a copper color with a white foamy ring. Nice lacing. Loads of pink grapefruit, oranges, and lemon. Taste is of freah grapefruit juice, and other citrus rinds. Bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Thick and creamy. Another great one from the dank tank series! More of an Imperial IPA than a Belgian but still tasty

Pours a clear amber with a fluffy and rather persistent ivory head. Malty aroma has a strong, resiny, hoppy overtone and woody, floral and fruity notes. Distinctive flavor wakes up the palate with yeasty, malty, floral and hoppy notes and - whoa, quite an alcohol bite, even for 9%! Smooth texture is not too fizzy, but still is lively going down and leaves a floral, hoppy finish. The price may be wrong, but the taste is right.

Very drinkable strong Belgian. Tons of banana and bubblegum. Dank tank doesn’t disappoint.

Bright orange/amber colored pour. Big off-white head. Plenty of lacing as it slowly falls. Nice aroma of citrus; oranges, grapefruit, slight lemon. Pine. A bit of bubblegum as well. A bit of the bubblegum right up front with some subdued orange and pine coming next. Bitter, but just a bit. More malty sweet. Pretty damn good beer.

This brew pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head that recedes gradually to a wispy film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, zesty grapefruit and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

On tap at Whole Foods, Coral Springs, pours a deep copper amber color with no appreciable head. Nose is strong pleasant sweet grapefruit .Taste is bitter sweet with full tasty citrus flavors. Finish is bitter sweet and moderately long. A nice micro from a brewery that I have not really held in any high regard. Quaff Score 8 / 10

22 oz for 8 bucks. Pours a golden amber with a white head. Aroma is more reminiscent of an IPA to me; floral and citrus hops, a little malt and some spice. Taste is pretty similar too. Body is slightly thicker and creamier. I am not an expert on "Belgian" beers but this is really good. I think this is the best beer I’ve had from Sweetwater.

Rated on notes from a tasting on 2 Feb 2014 -- I gave this beer a 4.0 out of 5.0, but I honestly don’t remember the qualities. Must have been good enough.

Other than their standard IPA, I can definitively say this is the best beer I’ve ever tasted from Sweetwater. Pours a caramel gold with white head. Scent is candy and fruit. Flavors are an excellent blend of bitter and sweet. Medium bodied and well carbonated. Draft - Brick Store Pub - Decatur, GA
