Jan 5, 2010 1 liter- batch 1. Pours a medium to light amber with a thinning white head. Aroma is light boozy, alcohol is apparent upfront, still ok though- tons of big sweet caramel and sugary malts, lots of citrusy hops, fruity as well- amarillo-like. Flavor is citrusy with lots of big sweet malts, sugary almost, with an earthy leather thing going on in the end- good bitter hops to counter the sweet malts,

Oct 12, 2007 Thanks to JIMBO for this huge bottle of delicous barleywine. Pour was golden amberish color. Started off delicous and went slightly south after that, very rare for a beer. Alcohol and sweetness became a little too potent and mucked up the beer a little bit. Still a nice treat none the less.

Mar 24, 2008 Large bottle. Pours amber with thin off white head. Aroma of malt, hops, and caramel. Taste is chewy malts and caramel. Medium mouthfeel. Older bottle so I assume the hops have died down a little. Decent but not great. Still nice to see this brewery finally trying something different.

Dec 13, 2007 Thanks to Cougar for this. Amber pour, big white head. Aroma is pretty hoppy with citrus a lot. Flavor is caramel, citrus hops, lots of fruits, apples and raisens. Lots lof dry-hopped character to this big on the bitterness with a hoppy citrus aftertaste.

Nov 25, 2007 Dark amber color with a fairly dense tan head. Big citrusy tangerine aroma that reminds me more of a DIPA than barley wine. The taste is citrusy as well but with a tad of caramel. It tastes every bit of 10% ABV and could use a little more carbonation. Still this is a very good beer that is fun to split with a couple friends.

Mar 22, 2008 Courtesy obsceneone. Orange-amber color with a thin sparse head. Apricot aroma with a defined hop kick. The sweetness really comes out against the hops. Sweet taste, hops compliment the malts as opposed to competing with them. Nice finish. Sweet but not cloying.

Feb 18, 2009 2007 Flip Top 1 Liter bottle.. Big thanks to Matt, The Beer Sommelier for hooking me up with this one. Poured a cloudy orange body with thin head. Aroma is sweet, lite citrus hops. Flavor is a bit sweet with citrus, orange and a bit of faded hops. Much smoother than I expected.

Nov 7, 2007 Thanks Springslicker. A deep amber pour with not much head at all. A fruitiness beyond dried fruit that has na almost tart aroma. A semi sweet flavor that is solid with a very good bitter. Solid palate with good carbonation. A good BW that I think will get better with age. Thanks Jay
