This poured out of the bottle very dark brown with a thin, tight head that disipated quickly. The initial nose was strong roast coffee. Roast coffee, almost smokey intital flavor leading to a dark, sweet malt flavor that finishes with a perfect bitter balance. A very nice, quaffable porter.

This is a nice porter. Nice rich maltiness. Coffee aroma. A hint of sweetness, but not overpoweringly sweet. Very smooth for a porter.

Bottle thanks to Goldtwins! Very nice porter. NIce malty, chocolate nose full of roasted grains. Head is off-white and thinnish. Taste is very malty. Roasted grains and chocolate malt predominate. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth. Slight hopping at the end brings the beer to balance. I liked this quite a bit.

Bottle is labeled best by 4th month, 3rd week. Poured a hazy deep reddish brown. Rich creamy foamy head. Aroma of chocolate and hops, roasted caramel too. Nice slick mouth feel here. Chocolate and roasted malts as the nose indicates, but also was very rich and almost milky, Nice job, I was going to comment on the body on the light side, but the label stated this was mid body, and damn, right on Nice for us porter heads. thanx to beeryum.

nice off white head, dark brown, good smooth taste with malt prevailing at the end, not my favorite porter but would recommend it

Poured a dark walnut color with minimal head. The aroma had coco, chocolate, and toasted malts. Very full and smooth smelling. The flavor was WAY better than I expected give the relatively ho-hum reviews. Toasty and creamy malts, light and mild chocolate and caramel with well balanced lightly pineish hops. Crisp slightly dry finish, but quite full and creamy. I really enjoyed this and would say this is one of the better porters I’ve had. Almost more like a stout.

12oz bottle. Nice dark brown pour, sweet and malty. Flavors include nice sweet malts and some roastiness, but not too roasty. Nice chocolate in it too. Medium thin body, but its a just a brown porter, so I wouldnt expect anything thick or big.

I received this as an extra from a friendly GA BA. This poured very dark black with a good sized head. The smell was really good with chocolate and cocoa coming through. The taste was more cocoa and also chocolate chip cookie dough. I really liked this beer and I usually don’t like porters at all. Excellent.

Lots of flavor for a porter. Normally I don’t reach for a porter but Sweetwater is such a great brewery I tried it.
