Nice thick off white head with good retention. Minimal lacing. Nice dark brown color and mocha scent. Hop bitterness balances out the caramel and chocolate sweetness of the malt. 12 Oz bottle poured to a sniffer

Awesome nutty aroma with a very smooth caramel aftertaste. Dark chocolate color that pours as smooth as silk with zero foam or fizz. No head at the top of this beer. Delightful Southern beer worth a try!

Sort of middle of the road... in terms of flavor and and aroma. It’s certainly easy drinking with flavors of roasted malts and faint chocolate. Aroma is faint with notes of toasted malts. The hop burp is very chocolate. Finish is smooth but a little watery. Fair.

Keg at Thirsty Monk - Ashevill, NC during RBWG 2014. Pours clear, golden-brown with a creamy topping. Basic brown ale, with simple brown bread sweetness, low bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with further bready malts, faint caramel. Decent.

Draft at ATL terminal A. Pours clear ruby brown with a fizzy beige head and lots of lacing. Tastes nutty, like roasted malt, light chocolate, light earth. Light body and low carbonation. Smells nutty, malty, toasted.

Sweetwater succeeds again with one of the better brown ales I've ever had, currently enjoying this on tap at their draft house in the ATL airport. Was served pleasantly exceedingly fresh, smells strong of chocolate and caramel malts with some fuggle hop earthiness. Appetizing copper-brown appearance with white head. Very smooth and drinkable, features subtle hops and cocoa/caramel maltiness, and finishes clean and refreshing. Pleasant chocolatey aftertaste, highly recommended! I will be buying this again!
