COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It's nice to be able to finally brew some beer without restrictions on it. we came from Colorado where we could brew or try anything. We've been waiting 7 years to make a stout and we harnessed all that frustration into this batch of beer.

We didn't get caught up in the parameters of a specific style we just brewed a big fat hoppy beautiful beer. The timing of the law change couldn't have been better for us, because it has taken until this summer for us to get set up in our new brewery. We finally have some capacity to experiment with some new style. This could lead into a seasonal offering from us in the future. For now we're just glad we can satisfy the demands of the folks who have been on us since day 1 to make a stout.

Malt: 70/80 crystal malt, chocolate malt, black malt, roasted malt

Hops: Centennial, Willamette and cascade - on the dry hop!

Happy, happy, HOPPY! Wow, this one really surprised me. I was expecting a sto it, but this is more like a black double IPA. Damn good! Aroma is hoppy, and malty all at the same time. Appearance is black with a thick, long lasting tan head, that leaves a moderate lacing. Taste is of chocolate, caramel, nougat, snickers bar, charcoal, cinnamon, clove, and hops...lots of hops. Palate is thick and creamy, not much carbonation. Overall this is an epic beer that really lives up to the name, a great strong beer to have a HAPPY ENDING to your night of drinking!

Bottle share at the Cad’s tasting. Thanks to Colin. 2015 bottle, 9%, black wax. Pitch black beer, small foamy tan head. Aroma is floral, smoke, grassy hop, tea, a little ash. Body is medium, slightly foamy, low carbonation. Taste is smooth malts, bacon, smoked ham, dry finish with some salt. Pretty nice.

Bottle into snifter a couple of times. Aroma is citrusy hops, roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Pour is black, thick khaki head. Flavor is hop forward but still shows the roasted grain and coffee notes well enough. Very nice.

Bottle - Pours a clear, dark brown with a creamy light brown head and some large bubbles. Good lacing. Aromas of citrus and chocolate. Good mouth feel. Unusual, complex flavors with chocolate that goes into some tart citrus. My kind of beer.

Aroma: Grapefruit. Grapefruit! Seriously, more hoppy than any IS I’ve nosed; this thing could be an Imperial Black IPA. After that, some roast character and a little chocolate. Appearance: Slightly inky black pour with a bubbly mocha head that settles into a bubbly, patchy skin. Flavor: Grapefruit still most apparent, but with a solid roast/chocolate balance underneath, leading to a somewhat bitter, citrusy finish. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Actually enjoyed this quite a bit; an IS with significant hop personality.

Tap at Sweetwater in the Atlanta airport. Very dark pour with a brown head. Roasty with some dark chocolate and sweetness. This is really good.

Bottle at home while in j'ville. Pours a deep dark brown/black. Aroma has a little coffee coming through some nice green stuff. Medium body, medium carb. Pleasant choc, coffee bitterness, caramel sweetness, orange, grass, salt... Pleasant tasting and booze well integrated. Lighter than expected but a nice drop. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rustico, Arlington tap: pours black but the pour I got was without much head. Aroma is chocolate and sugar and a wee bit of roast. Taste is sweet and surprisingly light for an imperial stout. Very creamy. Pretty good.

Bottle to snifter. Black with moderate tan head. A: fruity hops over hints of chocolate malt and coffee. T: mild coffee and dark chocolate, pine hops. Interesting.

Draft. Poured dark brown with a tan head that left rings of lace as I drank this stout. It was a little thin for a 9% stout. The flavor of coffee and chocolate was well blanced to make this very easy to drink.
