COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It's nice to be able to finally brew some beer without restrictions on it. we came from Colorado where we could brew or try anything. We've been waiting 7 years to make a stout and we harnessed all that frustration into this batch of beer.

We didn't get caught up in the parameters of a specific style we just brewed a big fat hoppy beautiful beer. The timing of the law change couldn't have been better for us, because it has taken until this summer for us to get set up in our new brewery. We finally have some capacity to experiment with some new style. This could lead into a seasonal offering from us in the future. For now we're just glad we can satisfy the demands of the folks who have been on us since day 1 to make a stout.

Malt: 70/80 crystal malt, chocolate malt, black malt, roasted malt

Hops: Centennial, Willamette and cascade - on the dry hop!

Sample from RBWG. Pours brown with a tan head. Nose is pine, coffee, roast, and a boatload of hops. Flavor is similar: earthy, slightly sweet with a shit ton of hops. Finish lingers with more hops. Medium bodied imp stout. Glad I had it, will not seek it out except maybe to age it.

Pours an opaque dark brown almost black color with khaki colored head. Roasted malt, raw cocoa powder, and some light toast on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied, and a little rough around the edges. Finishes with more raw cocoa powder and roast.

Draft at Moriartys. Opaque black pour with a generous dense tan head. Rows of thick lace. Feels big and full but not overpowering. Quite nice. Unforced notes of dark chocolate, cold coffee, charcoal, black pepper, liquorice, browned stone fruit and berries. Darkly sweet. Molasses. Blackberry cordials. Tobacco. Blood oranges. Solid mix of flavors. Well balanced. Refined and understated. Impressive.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black pour topped by a dense rocky tan head and big clinging lace. Aroma has loads of dark roasted malt, tar and smoked brisket. Flavor is subtle, with dark coffee, smoked meat and espresso beans coming to mind. This is a truly amazing brew. Best served at about 55-60 degrees and sipped slowly. It is deceptively subtle and delicious. The 9% ABV is well hidden and makes this a brew to be really careful with. Enjoy and experience.
