BigMilly8 (353), Holiday, Florida, USA Mar 23, 2008 From bottle : Pours very dark black, with a thin brown head that forms, and only last a few minutes. It leaves lots of bubbles around the edges along with some foam. Decent lacing. Nose is roasted malts, earthyness, some funk, and hops. Weird smells for a Impy Stout. Roasted flavor, with the chocolate coming through in the end. Some alcohol present as well. There is something else i can pin point, but it is just throwing this beer off. Thin body for a stout, and finishes kinda watery. Not very impressed with this.
axilla (942), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 27, 2008 Pours a relatively thick opague black body with a small tan head. A pretty decent aroma of slightly over-cooked brownies with a subtle citric tartness. The flavor pretty much mirrors the nose with a cocoa coated orange peel taste. A lighter, medium body for an impy with more and more orange peel taste the longer it breathes. fishingnet (800), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 20, 2008 Bottle courtesy tpd975. Pours black with a one finger tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, and bitter chocolate. Taste is the same as the aroma with sweet caramel showing up in the finish. Medium full mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good. General_Gao (2434), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jul 12, 2008 12oz bottle from iowaherkeye. Thanks Joey. Best if enjoyed by 6/12/07. Attractive aroma of milk chocolate, citrusy hops, tar, and raisin. Poured an opaque black color. The head was tan with an orange-ish tint. Medium to full bodied and roasty up front with a hint of bitterness at the end. I tasted burnt stick, baker’s chocolate, and some light citrusy hops. Pretty tasty stuff.
