marksahara (79), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Dec 24, 2006 On draught at multiple locations in ATL, including brewery and in bottle. Now a year-round brew as opposed to summer-exclusive. Not personally a fan of witbiers, but this one is the best one I’ve had so far. Can’t drink more than 2 bottles at a time, though. Pours a nice hazy yellow-amber colour with moderate crown and virtually little lacing. Weak aroma with heavy spice and mild citrus notes. Flavour is spicy at first with extremely prominent coriander and orange tones, warming through to a crisp finish. Mild malt backbone but not the highlight of this beer. Very thin body but overall a decent Wit. Not personally my first choice. CheersMate1 (769), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Dec 23, 2006 This beer was pretty good. I am at a loss though. I tried this beer because the people at the store were selling out-dated bottles! JERKS! My experience could have ruined due to this fact, but I must say that the taste was pretty good. I wouldn’t say that you have to try this. Your standard American witbier. Crisp taste one that someone could appreciate. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Dec 17, 2006 Bottle from Beer Hawk, Thanks! Nose of banana esters, and spices; very hazy "urine" yellow with a small white head; flavor is tart with some coriander and citrus notes and a liitle faint malt hint emanating from the medium body. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Oct 17, 2006 Bottle best by 11/05/06. Poured a very clear yellow with a fizzy white head that disappeared quickly. Aromas of spices, citrus, and bananas. The flavor found orange, some spices, and a hint of malts in the background. Light body and smooth. Citrus flavor lingered in the mouth. Suttree (2702), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 15, 2006 If you see Sweetwater at a beer festival, do not go up and say "I’d like a Hummer" or "Give me a hummer". Trust me, they’ve heard this joke before and it just isn’t funny anymore. Cloudy yellow, with a thin white head. Very fruity and refreshing, with spicy notes in the background. Sampled at Knoxville Brewer’s Jam, 2006. NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Oct 12, 2006 Bottle. Pours a cloudy bright yellow/orange with a white head. There is aroma and faint wheat in the nose. The body is surprisingly thin, but has some well-developed, though not overdone, orange notes. This is quite lightly spiced compared to other wits, but definite coriander is detected in the finish. Nothing is overwhelming in this brew, but it serves its intended purpose quite well. CaptKirk (175), Hephzibah, Georgia, USA Oct 11, 2006 Poured beautifully in my pint glass. Darker then expected for a white ale. Citrus aroma with a punch on the first sip. Settle sweeter as I got to mid glass. Fairly hoppy with slight sting in the aftertaste. I like a this style of beer, but this was not one of my favorites. With that said, this was a very good offering from Sweetwater. Thanks Marty! thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 9, 2006 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a hazy dark . The aroma was malty with coriander. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The floral flavor contained notes of malt and coriander. An OK brew just nothing special.
