12oz. Bottle from trade with Suttree: Pungent aroma of hops, hop oil, grass, pine, and some marijuana. Poured copper/amber in color with a small, creamy, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. A few tiny particles. Ok lacing. Flavor is medium bitter and slightly sweet. Tastes of hops, pine, hop oil, grass, slight malt, and some marijuana. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Hops, grass, pine, and slight malt finish. Why is this so highly rated?

Last offering from the tacklebox. One helluva pop from this bottle [A] Great aroma. Kind of skunky. Not in a stale way. Dank. Floral and citrus aromas. Caramel & Euro malts present. Almost lends a nutty/chocolate note. Hop oil. Simply put, but pretty quaffable. [A] Orange amber. [F] Body is nice. Good balance. That skunky hop comes through, with orangey citrus. But otherwise, the malt levels things out. Biscuity pale flavors under upfront caramel and crystal. [P] A medium-light feel. Justly carbonated. Hop bite about right for an IPA. Enjoyable, without becoming too bitter. [O] Wow. It is odd of me to say, I STILL think the Blue was the most enjoyable brew in the mixed 12-er. IPAs are one of my favorite styles. But become boring at times. This was deemed satisfying enough to repeat, if Sweetwater ever comes to IL. Tie for 1st place out of the 4. Good.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a frothy off white head, nice lacing. Big nose of citrus peel and earthy pine notes. Very refreshing on the palate, dry and crisp.

This beer pours a rich orange with a medium white head. It has a smell of fresh grapefruit. The taste, likewise, is of fresh grapefruit. Of any IPA I’ve had, this one comes closest to tasting like an actual grapefruit than any I’ve ever had. However, the grapefruit taste overpowers everything else, so it tastes like drinking straight grapefruit juice and nothing else.

Copper orange. Nice grass, light citrus, and pine notes running through this one. Kinda light for an IPA but its still real nice and refreshing. Id get it again.

On tap at Sweetwater in the Atlanta airport. Beautiful golden color with smallish head. The floral nose preceded a smooth english malt profile accented with a fairly good bit of floral hops. The bitterness was mild, but it was very drinkable. It was just tasty, well balanced and smooth. I liked it.

Very good IPA. Lots of citrus and pine in the nose. A sweet malt backbone with a good dose of hops, a dry bitter finish. Straightforward, good version of the style.
