Commercial Description:
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

Hops: Columbus, Golding

Dry Hop: Columbus, Golding

12oz, Best if enjoyed by 07/08/07, thanks to shp555. Pours a hazy orange golden with a one finger off-white head with good enough retention. Aroma of grapefruit and floral hops, and a little bit of pine in the background. The hops are on their way out, so I’m sure a fresher sample would be better (duh). Pretty good caramel background. Sweet caramel malts up front with some grapefruit and perfumey floral hops that meld together very well--I love it when I get the "sweet hop" character. Bitterness is on the low side of the spectrum for IPA’s. Low carbonation with a medium smooth body. Things went quite well after the aroma, which is usually the opposite.

12 oz bottle thanks to colemgm. Lots of apricot/citrus aromas off this deep amber pour with a nice white head. More aromas of mango and pineapple. Bright fruits on the flavor too, but more citrus. Nice bitter hop finish. Not too bad at all.

12 oz. bottle received in a trade with Jimbowood. Thanks Jimbo! -- Pours a slightly hazy strong golden color with an off white head that diminishes to a thin crown. Decent lacing. The aroma is citrus and floral hops with a hint of sweet malt. The flavor is refreshingly sweet with a citrus burst to it. The hoppy bitterness starts slowly, increasing to the finish. The sweet malts are present to balance everything out. Medium mouthfeel and smooth going down. I wish this one were available in my area.

Great IPA. Almost too hoppy at first, but you get used to it. Comparable to dogfish head. ignore the ugly label and drink up! Tastes like home.

Pours a dramatically opaque orange with chunks of yeast stirred up in the brew. Catty hops on the nose and tongue, little malt sweetness to balance them out. Seriously, tone it down a little. Citrus hops dominate every step of this beer. I like hops as much as the next imbiber, but really, balance is nice too.

Pours orange with white head. Aroma is of sweet hops and some citrus. Mouth is somewhat thin with a decent amount of carbonation. Very refreshing. Flavor is full of malt, hops, spice and finishes sweet. A very good IPA.

Bottle. (trade with Papsoe) Clear, golden-copper color with a beige head. Pine, hops and tropical fruits in the aroma. The flavor is quite bitter and fruity, with pine and tropical fruits, the latter dominating the fruit-part. Full body. Very piney finish with a distinct bitterness. I find it a bit on the hoppy side, but it is a nice beer. (070608)
