COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

Bottle. Pours a translucent golden amber with a diminishing pale head. The aroma is has some sharp piney hops with some light, soothing citrus. The initial flavour is citrusy, much like a pear or apple paired with pineapple. The hops create a slight tinge on the tongue. As the brew passes, the hops become a little more evident, but doesn’t nearly surpass the fruit flavours. Pine begins to burst but quickly fades. Pear, apple, and pineapple continue creating a smooth finish with some light bitterness from the hops. While I would usually say, "this needs more hops," I think this is nicely balanced letting the more citric flavours to accentuate.

Bottled. Very lovely strong hop aroma. Amber in color. I think the hop combination smells almost like a pineapple. Nice bitter finish. Probably my favorite Sweetwater.

12oz bottle, best by 12/07, consumed 4/08, hops have faded dramatically and so has my score for this IPA, easy to drink moreso than a Pale Ale of the same caliber, i think Alpha King was more hoppy than this... at its age, glad to have tried this but was unimpressed, mild taste no hop bitterness just a boring beer.

Bottle from jimbowood, thanks! Pours a nice amber orange color with thin white head. Aroma is of fruit and honey blended with hops. Taste is sweet, with a long bitter finish.

Bottle from robbmotiwalla. Thanks!
Pours an attractive medium to rich amber with an offwhite head that hangs around for a bit. Smell is fruity and earthy hops. Perhaps some light citrusy quality. Flavor is thin and mildly bittered up front, while the body is average. Light malt backing and it needed more hops for my taste. Kind of hop tea like, I thought. Not bad, but not one of my preferred IPAs.

12oz from ucusty - thanks, David! Man, this one goes down smooth on the first hottish day of the year. I believe this is my first Sweetwater brew to boot. At any rate, this is a really solid IPA with a nice honey smell in the nose to complement the floral qualities. Full but not cloying, sweet but not slick, this is a lively citrus-heavy brew that would be a major session favorite if it were available locally.
