This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

On draft at Golden Crust, Red Lion, PA. served in a English pint. Pours slightly hazy amber, one finger frothy off white head. Nice lacing and retention. Aroma of lemon and biscuit. Taste is medium bitter, slightly bready sweet. Light bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly sticky mouth feel. Finish is dry. Tasting notes of herbs, tangerine, spruce, baked bread and lemon zest. I enjoyed this one!

I detect mild malt and mild hops in the aroma, which is not very prominent. What I do smell is nice. The off-white head thins very fast while the amber body is clear and quite attractive. It’s got a nice taste to it. There’s a dense quality to it; certainly no light beer. The malt and the hops are nicely balanced, so the bitter and the sweet are harmonious. The carbonation is a bit high, but not too bad. The burn fades, letting the oily mouth feel and hoppy aftertaste come through. This is the only time the hops win out, in the aftertaste. I would consider this the session brew, despite the somewhat high ABV for such consideration. It’s a nice IPA.

Pours a light yellow with light head. Aroma of pine, some malt. Taste is hop-forward. Pine, dry resin. Palate is smooth, crisp, with a bitter, hoppy finish. Good IPA - very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mouthful of herbal hops that are chewable citrus notes and a crisp finish. This was one of my favorite IPAs a couple years back, but it seems to be just a good one now.

2015 BJCP Category: 21A American IPA

AROMA: Clean, bright, floral, citrus peel, powdered candy. Some grassiness. 10/12

APPEARANCE: Amber hue, cloudy but transparent. Large eggshell froth. Good lacing and retention. 3/3

FLAVOR: Lovely combination of melon, citrus, and Sweet Tarts candy. Bitterness is milder than most of the style (though bottle was old). Medium/low malt character - slight honey/blonde grain. Well balanced. 15/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium/light body and CO2. Smooth texture and finish. No alcohol presence. Finishes maybe a little too clean. 3/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: To style in every category. A fresh bottle would probably score even higher. Impressive for what it is. 8/10
