ATLBeerDog (137), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Apr 9, 2008 Served at “Free” Beer Party – 2008 at Taco Mac Lindbergh in celebration of the 75 anniversary of the end of prohibition.<P>
Donkey Punch meticulously aged in Jack Daniels barrels. Pours dark red/brown with absolutely no head. Smells of malts and bourbon. No carbonation – but who cares when it tastes so good? Tastes of a bitter/sweet balance. The barrel aging brings all of Donkey Punch’s normally well hidden ABV, to the front of the class.

shp555 (1347), lilburn, Georgia, USA Feb 15, 2008 Pours a deep amber color with a thing tan head. Aroma is some caramel and tons of grapefruit hops. Flavor is malty, some oak, and a nice bitter grapefruit hop finish. SpringsLicker (1762), Tennessee, USA Feb 11, 2008 Atlanta Cask Ale ’08.
Pours fairly clear dark amber with a small, fleeting off-white head.
Complex aroma malty caramel, dark fruits.
The flavor follows the aroma with an oak dryness.
Nice one.
