A flame throwin’ Rye IPA ignited by a 25% shot of rye malt and capped by a booty hoppin’ blast of Mt Hood and Centennial hops that makes this IPA bounce!

Good and flavorful. Pours a dark orange with a good hop flavor which isn’t overpowering.

In a sampler pack from my son. It poured a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma was fruity and some crisp grapefruit. The taste was bitter, hoppy and grapefruity. It was smooth and fruity with crisp hoppiness and a little peach to grapefruit in the finish. Very well done.

Bottle: Murky gold color with not much head. Leather, musty, hop aroma. Bitter hairspray with the definite rye accent mixed in with the hops. Almost a slimy finish.

Bottle pours a hazy orange/amber sweet light malt and honey aroma. Nice hoppy flavors with out much IBU bitterness. The Rye adds some too though.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of floral and lightly citrusy hops, some caramel malts, a light rye spiciness, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not a bad beer, but could be better.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear orange and copper with a two finger white head that leaves a good amount of lacing. Citrusy aroma. Orange, grapefruit, peach and white bread. Taste is malts and rye up front with biscuit, pine, slight citrus. Slightly spicy, but mild overall. Dry but long finish of malt and grapefruit. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Not really outstanding, but definitely good. Would like to have seen the rye boosted a little more.

12 oz. bottle in a trade with Darren. Best by 12/04/2013. Sampled 11/05/2013. Hazy amber gold hue with lively bubbles from the Co2. Traces of lacing. Smells of a standard amber type ale, toasted pale malt, caramel, hints of floral hops. Flavor starts with rye bread, toasted grain body with citrus and rye in the finish. Medium body with a drying texture on the tongue. Balanced well enough, good but nothing really stands out to me with this one.

Pour is clearish orange with small white head. Aroma is oily citrus hops and light cereal malt. Taste is lightly malty at first quickly ramping to more and more hoppy and finishing with a nice rye bite. Nice level of carbonation and weight on the palate, slight alcohol bite. Overall very drinkable, enjoyable, and probably my favorite sweetwater.
