Pint at Tyler’s Apex. Good aroma sweet. Fruity. Apricot. Mango. Cereal. Clean golden orange color, good initial head, faded quickly. Minor lafe. Sweet flavor. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Good beer, not a jaw dropper but solid.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Taste of hops, malt and rye in this bad boy. If you like Straight To Ale’s Hell or Rye Water, you’ll like this. Has an earthy finish...pretty awesome brew.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of hops, malt, and rye. Flavor was hop forward with a punch of rye in there. Flavor was slightly astringent. Main downside to this brew is that the mouthfeel was rather thin and lacked body.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy amber with a pine aroma. Rye really comes through. Decent hops and not bad for a rye beer.

Tap at proof. Clear orange with white head. Rye earthy spiceyness. Ginger? Lots of herbal earthy hop character and rye. Light body drinkable. Good for at hot day but not blown away.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Murky orange-brown beer with a creamy head. Hoppy scent with hints of pine. Initial flavor is bitter without being overly so, which then develops with a pleasant sour complement, and finishes with slight citrus. A good IPA that does not overwhelm with hops.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Beer of the month club bottle. Pours cloudy light orange with a tiny white head. Aroma of orange peel, honey, pine, and a hint of spice. Flavor is strong orange zest with a spicy rye tone. Some nice bitter bite, and dry rye finish. Light mouthfeel and pretty drinkable as I have found with other Sweetwater pales. Good beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2013 This is an OK ipa but is easily drinkable. Did not think it had enough body and there was a serious lack of hop bitterness and aroma. Overall a good beer but easily forgettable.
