A flame throwin’ Rye IPA ignited by a 25% shot of rye malt and capped by a booty hoppin’ blast of Mt Hood and Centennial hops that makes this IPA bounce!

At GABF. Aroma of caraway. Flavor if rye malts, mild hops and a big rye finish. Easy drinker, with flavor.

Pours hazy orange with a medium white head. Smells of fruity citrus and spicy rye. Taste mildly bitter, with a strong citrus punch and a kiss of rye. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Terrapin LowRYEder finishes with a mild lingering spice.

Not bad not so bitter as most Sweet Water beers. Ncie and crafty to drink. Some amber features.

12 oz bottle. BB 11/21/13. (Midtown Wine) Nashville, TN.
Clear deep golden colour with a small white head. Sweetish intense fruity hops, exotic fruits, malt and nice mild bitterness in a delicious aroma. Mild bitterness, fruity and piney hops and strong malt in the balanced flavour. Smooth! Good IPA.

12 oz. bottle. Thanks Joe! Light orange color, with a medium, beige head. The aroma is distinct rye, honey, light resinous and pine hops. The flavor is nicely bitter, and lightly spicy. Light to medium body, smooth and a little grainy. Nicely drinkable, with good rye spiciness.

Punchy, hoppy, with an earthy quality. Hints of yeast and malt balance it out.

Appearance: not transparent, an orange color, pours with a small beige head that fades away fast Aroma: bread, butter, malt, some faint hop earthiness Taste: strong malt presence, pine bitterness, Palate: lively carbonation, leaves mouth very dry, moderate mouthfeel Overall: I feel like this beer has such a strong malt backbone that it almost takes the spotlight from the hops, still a good beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweetwater LowRYEder IPA has a medium, off-white head, a hazy, orange-gold appearance, a few streaming bubbles, and some thin lacing left behind. The aroma is faint, but one can detect citrus, hop oil, and bread crust. Taste is very much of mild grapefruit, with some white bread, white bread crust, sweetness, low bitterness, and a shade of peppery rye. Mouthfeel light to medium and a bit slick. Sweetwater LowRYEder finishes dry, refreshing, sweet, and easy going. Overall, this is very good, but not particularly different. RJT

Pours orange with a thin white head. The most prominent note on the nose is the rye. There’s som eye on the tongue along with some citrus thing. Clean finish. I don’t think the rye complements the beer very well. It’s all a but muddled.

Hazy, yellowish-orange pour with a small, white head. The aroma is mildly spicy with a little grass. It has a medium body with a slightly sticky texture and average carbonation. The taste is a little bittersweet with a dry finish.
