Bottle. Pours a clear dark golden color with a moderate white head. Great hoppy nose to it that foreshadows bitterness. Taste is not as bitter as the nose would suggest, but with a good bit of rye flavor and a clean finish. Not bad.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SpringsLicker (2837) - Tennessee, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Pours cloudy dark yellow with a sticky white head.
Big citrus hop aroma with juicy malts.
The flavor has a distinct pineapple juice note to it. Nicely tart and bitter.

So there is Terrapin Easy Rye-der, Cucapa Low Rider, and now this....Original! Soft amber yellow with one finger of frothy off white head. Tastes and smells kind of like a homebrew. Very light hop aroma, mostly grain. Bready and somewhat musty.

Bottle. Golden color with a big soapy white head. Nose is juicy hops and wet grass. I don’t get any rye in the flavor, just lots of nice sweet, floral hops. Those hops continue into the finish, which then mixes in some peppery bitterness, and only a faint hint of rye late in the finish. It feels overly flat in the mouth. Otherwise, a nice IPA.

Medium golden pour with a loose white head that fades quick. Somewhat weak aroma of zesty citrus hops, mild rye spice and crystal malts. Sweet tropical fruitiness up front with caramel malts leading into a spicy rye and citrusy bitter finish.

Bottle - courtesy of GandGKevin. Thanks! Murky amber pour with a medium, foamy white head. Aroma is spicy hops, citrus fruit, floral hops and light caramel. Taste is big spicy hops, rye, light caramel, sweet malt, floral hops, citrus fruit, tropical fruit and light earthy hops. Body is medium with a soft, bubbly carbonation. Finishes with more spicy hops, citrus fruit, dried tropical fruit, caramel, sweet malt, and floral hops. Nice!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 PorterPounder (4634) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, thin off-white head. Spruce and mint in the aroma. Flavor has a nutty essence to it, some subtle grapefruit induced citrusy bitterness, a touch of mint. Mouthfeel could be a bit thicker, but not a detractor. Decent.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Aurelius (3457) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Tangy, American amber aroma - hoppy, tannic, light diacetyl. Medium bronze pour, clingy foam on the side of the glass that looks like the inside binding on 19th century books - arched and draping. Sweetwater needs to ditch the two yokels fishing for rainbow trout, and make the label about the brew rather than the brand. Pineapple flavors up front, but not so sweet. Muted toffee/caramel, spruce/juniper, rye twang. Sturdy bittering. Citrusy finish. Medium to slightly heavy body, a heavy wet blanket mouthfeel. Warming, above its ABV. Picked up fresh, raw green beans, oddly, in the finish which was generally long and hoppy/bitter. New Leaf Market, past the two hippie chicks fighting over the last organic rutabaga.

Pours a hazy light amber with two fingers of frothy white head. Aroma is of grapefruit citrus. Taste is very light with a bit of sweeter citrus and some mild bitterness. Good easy drinker.
