A flame throwin’ Rye IPA ignited by a 25% shot of rye malt and capped by a booty hoppin’ blast of Mt Hood and Centennial hops that makes this IPA bounce!

I think this is a pretty darn good IPA. It has the characteristic strong hop bitterness, but the slight rye spice is very much welcomed. Slight grapefruit, but mostly fresh, a little grassy nose. Good beer.

Bottle strangely enough from the Gatlinburg Walgreens. Overall a fairly muted beer. Neither the hops nor the rye had a big bite. Good but maybe it sat a little too long too based on store turnover.

Location: 12 oz bottle at the Renaissance Waverly bar, 3/17/14

Aroma: The aroma is caramel malt and rye bread, a little grapefruit, spice, and a floral hops
Appearance: It pours a copper color with a small, frothy head, and some decent lace on it
Flavor: The flavor is similar to the nose, caramel/rye, light sweet, grapefruit/spice light bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, a touch thin, with a plus carbonation and a spice tingle
Overall Impression: I thought this one was only okay. The hops just don’t come through in a meaningful enough manner, and the overall beer is just kind of on the dull side.

Draft - Huge grapefruit with a nice caramel backbone. Little beige heat and a clear copper. Lots of caramel and grapefruit, with a hint of the rye spice. More sweet than bitter but nice.

On tap at the Atlanta airport. Good beer. Didn’t like it as much as the regular ipa MB had, but good. Nice rye tang to it.

Pours just like the picture. Smell is hoppy and fruity. Grassy notes, similar to an ipa. Tastes sweet, hoppy, bold, and full of rye. Pretty easy to drink. Good stuff that is in my standard rotation

Clear copper with no head. Nose is a little fruity and floral, a touch of resin, and earthy bright malts. Bitter beginning with grassy acidic hops, spicy rye malts, and a doughy earthy blonde finish. Eh.

Bottle from Five Points in Georgia. Pours a light amber body with short head and minor lacing. Aroma is clean malt, light spice and pine hop. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of pine, resin, rye, spice and clean malt. Ok.

12 oz bottle into pint glass. Hilton head. Appearance: light brown/copper in color. Slight haze. Small white head. Aroma: spicy rye, citrus and floral hops. Taste: mildly sweet with a slightly spicy finish. Palate: medium body. Good body from carbonation. Spicy finish. Overall: a nice combination of spice and hops. A very interesting an enjoyable balance.

Sweetwater LowRYEder is a basic rye beer. Very little aroma detected from the copper amber pour with a nice head. Nice balance and rye and malt taste with a hoppy finish. From the perspective of an IPA, there is not much complexity. Finish is pretty clean. Sweetwater LowRYEder is a nice beer to enjoy with food, but just average as a craft beer.

Bottle. Golden color with a large head. Aroma is grains and not as much hops as one would think for an IPA, a tad of citrus. Taste was surprisingly missing of hops also. Overall not a bad beer. Not great but it really was a thirst quencher
