3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DukeBrewDevil (724) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - OCT 25, 2012Bottle. Golden color with a big soapy white head. Nose is juicy hops and wet grass. I don’t get any rye in the flavor, just lots of nice sweet, floral hops. Those hops continue into the finish, which then mixes in some peppery bitterness, and only a faint hint of rye late in the finish. It feels overly flat in the mouth. Otherwise, a nice IPA.

Draft at closed for business, charleston. Yellow orange pour. Fruity and floral notes in both aroma and flavor. Light pot pourri/perfuminess. Medium mouthfeel. Decent

Bottle. Pours gold with a slight white head and surprisingly thick lacing. Sweet citrusy aroma without much of the rye on the nose. Same with the taste. Very citrusy and floral hop character without much rye bite. Very easy drinking.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 OldGrowth (2104) - North Carolina, USA - APR 24, 2013
Pint at Tyler’s Apex. Good aroma sweet. Fruity. Apricot. Mango. Cereal. Clean golden orange color, good initial head, faded quickly. Minor lafe. Sweet flavor. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Good beer, not a jaw dropper but solid.

Taste of hops, malt and rye in this bad boy. If you like Straight To Ale’s Hell or Rye Water, you’ll like this. Has an earthy finish...pretty awesome brew.
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 pras (284) - Maryland, USA - APR 11, 2013
Aroma of hops, malt, and rye. Flavor was hop forward with a punch of rye in there. Flavor was slightly astringent. Main downside to this brew is that the mouthfeel was rather thin and lacked body.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 strap (334) - honolulu, Alabama, USA - APR 6, 2013
Cloudy amber with a pine aroma. Rye really comes through. Decent hops and not bad for a rye beer.

Tap at proof. Clear orange with white head. Rye earthy spiceyness. Ginger? Lots of herbal earthy hop character and rye. Light body drinkable. Good for at hot day but not blown away.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 floydslip (21) - Washington DC, USA - APR 4, 2013
Murky orange-brown beer with a creamy head. Hoppy scent with hints of pine. Initial flavor is bitter without being overly so, which then develops with a pleasant sour complement, and finishes with slight citrus. A good IPA that does not overwhelm with hops.
