Road trips are balls-out adventures loaded with unexpected twists, just like when this beer hit black ice and got spun!. It started out as an IPA recipe, but halfway down the road it blew a tire and a Pilsner yeast was pitched as a spare; an IPP yo! The fiery Pilsner backbone adds a nitrous-like boost to the van load of hops that would make any German pucker up when those hop afterburners singe their lederhosen!

Brewed with a Lager yeast at Ale temps using Sterling hops and Pilsner Malt to make this a crisp and hoppy twisted up seasonal treat.

I just didnít like this. Not enough going on, and what WAS going on wasnít all that impressive. Poured golden, small white head. Nose is grassy, a bit hoppy and lemony. Taste is just kind of funky...slight notes of mint were interesting, but didnít help. Iím generally a Sweetwater supporter, but I wonít get this again.

This beer poured a light golden color with a moderate white head. The aroma consists of perfume and lemons. The flavor contains some lemons, vanilla, and grassy notes. A bit of a spicy finish. Overall this is a good session ale/lager just dont look for anything complex.

The color was a light, crisp golden. The head was creamy and white. The aroma was hops with a slight macrobrewed corny taste. The flavor was pretty hoppy for a golden ale. The palate was thin bodied. The finish was abrupt.

Pours a standard translucent gold with a medium frothy white head. The aroma has more of a hop profile than I usually get from golden ales, sweet aroma, some citrusy hops. Fairly strong flavor, sweet, grapefruit peel hops, not bad, definitely drinkable. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. An excellent warm weather sit around and drink beer.

NIce smell sort of an outdoor smell.. Strong earthy flavor w\ a hint of pepper. Itís a really good seasonal brew for the summer season.

Yellow color. Smell of hops, citrus, pine, malt, pepper and honey. Taste of same but with some lemon thrown in.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2009 bottle. this could definitely be a solid craft lawnmower beer.... very drinkable, full of flavor and hops for a blond ale. pours a very light golden color with average white head. nice lingering hops and sweet malts on the nose. medium body with a good hop profile and well balanced. for a very flavor-able light session beer - this one hits the spot.

Yellow, big white head. Very subtle aroma - and by "subtle", I mean "almost non-existent". Big crisp toasty malt flavors up front. Crisp, dryish hop finish. Sampled at Asheville Brewgrass 2007. Oh, and I almost forgot - # 1900 for me! WooHoo!
