COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Road trips are carefree adventures that usually take unexpected twists, like when we created this beer. It started out as a Pilsner recipe, but halfway through it blew a tire and Ale yeast was put on as the spare. The result was so good, it never could have been planned!

Not Sweetwaters best attempt. I think if they release it again they will change the recipe and should be way better. They know what they are doing over there so try generation two of this brew.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2009 Appearance: Pours a clear, effervescent-looking gold body with a thinnish, though creamy white head. Smell: A funky, musky yeastiness quickly hurried behind a curtain of soapy, grassy hop notes and hints of biscuits. Taste: A real mishmash of flavors here. Sweet bready malts, a splash of watered down grapefruit juice, grass, and a squirt or two of industrial-strength handsoap. Quick finish with a touch of slickness. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Slightly slick mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Drinkability: This beer didn’t come together for me at all. So far, these Sweetwater "Catch & Release" beers are 0 for 2 with me. Release! Release!!

thanks to the beermate. cereal aroma malty. Pours almost clear blonde. Very light, watered down caramel, hints of citrus. Very very thin. Not much going on here.

Bottle courtesy of TBC. Pours gold with sparse white bubbles. Smells of citrus, some light malt, and pepper. Tastes of caramel, some light citrus and pepper. Watery mouthfeel. Decent lawnmower beer.

Bottle: Pale yellow/golden pour with a well retained white head. Has a grainy aroma, with some subtle hop notes. The body is a bit thin, and it’s a bit sweet in flavor, however it remains balanced. Grainy malt subtleties, with a very mild lemon touch. Clean and simple, yet enjoyable. Feels like a sweet/mild Pilsener.

The guy behind the bar at the brewery said this was Sweetwater’s attempt at a transoition beer to get MillBudCoors drinkers to try craft beer. I suppose it serves that purpose but does nothing for anyone who already appreciates craft brewed beer. I would describe it as Coors Original on steroids.

I actually think this guy is pretty good. Its crisp and refreshing, very lagerlike. Just hoppy enough, nice body. Smooth finish. Light but pleasant floral aroma.

Had on-tap at Taco Mac with a plate of hot wings. Poured a clear golden yellow with medium-thin white head that lasted a while and left okay lacing. Aroma was somewhat spicy and grainy hops, with a hint of floral notes. Mouthfeel was refreshing, but not much tingle or bitterness (though may have been affected by the wings). Flavor was a mild spicy hop, though no spice in partticular jumped out. Finish was thirst quenching and of medium duration. Overall, this was a pretty decent beer, with a low enough ABV (5.3%) that it would be a good session beer.

Golden pour, with decent head. Some grass to it slight hops, easy drinking, refreshing, some breadiness, not bad at all, but not great, nice on a hot day!

Pale golden with a white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy. Taste is light, almost like a subdued version of their 420. Some hop flavor, but not strong at all with a nice malt backbone. Overall pleasant, especially if you want something light for the summer, but it’s not one of their better beers.
